Re: Marching In Time

—-“ From day one, Mark should have tried to distance himself as much as he could from the AB sound” Sadly, there’s a lot of truth to this. I mean he can do whatever he wants, but honestly Tremonti music doesn’t really sound too different from AB or anything. —— Down to my Last had great lyrics that ...

Re: The Official SCOTT STAPP Thread

Were Mark and Stapp possibly friends in the early days of Creed (‘97-‘04) ?

Re: FUEL 2013 = Puppet Strings

—-I don’t think Stapps voice would work well for Fuel.

—-I like 2 out of the 3 new songs but I do think the songs are a bit overproduced.

Re: Marching In Time

——I thought the screams on the newest Breaking Benjamin album helped keep it fresh. Instead of just some chorus that we probably have all heard before. —-I only liked maybe 3 songs from the latest Saint Asonia album. ——I agree with Dolo here: “It's a good album, just pretty safe and exactly what I t...

Honestly the newest AB album was more experimental than MIT.

Re: Marching In Time

Bleak has a catchy chorus.

In one Piece has a weird chorus.

Godspeed is better than any of the songs on this album.

You Will Be Remembered and Tie the Noose are some of the worst AB/Tremonti songs.

Re: Marching In Time

Honestly the album isn’t bad, but it’s nothing really new either.

I was hoping for maybe a song that was more lighter in tone. Like the One Day Remains stuff. Just something a little different.

All these heavy songs just kinda blur together.

Re: Marching In Time

Man I like when songs have a decent chorus. It doesn’t have to be amazing but it can’t be weak.

That’s generally because imo good choruses can be hard to write.

Re: Marching In Time

—-I hate the sound effect at the beginning of Tie the Noose and the sound effect at the beginning of Slow Suicide by Stapp. A World Away is catchy. Bleak has a catchy chorus. I listened to the album once or twice so we’re see how I feel about the album with repeated listens. ——“the bridge of Thrown ...

Re: Marching In Time

I liked Nickelback, Shinedown and Daughtry (more) when they were more rock than pop.

Also I liked Snow Patrol when they were more pop rock than pop. And Lizzy is a great singer and a great ROCK singer but Halestorm need more better songs in general. I only like a few songs by them.

Re: Walk The Sky Production Quality.

----Open Your Eyes is one of the best songs Alter Bridge has ever done. ----Blackbird is also one of their best songs. However, if you ranked all parts of that song, the chorus would come in last. Everything else in that song is better than the chorus. The pre chorus riff, the verse, the outro, etc....

It was fine, but nowhere near as good as Brian. Brian could've elevated that album so much more, IMO.
In what way? Examples?

Re: The Random Alter Bridge Thread

Perhaps “Doesn’t Matter” should have been an alter bridge song. It could have fit.
