Re: DUST - The Second Part
Here's a little (over?) analysis of the song. I'll start with the negatives: Song still maintains the same VCVCBC structure as always. I wasn't expecting that to change when Cauterize and Dust were recorded simultaneously though. Even if it takes away from the song a bit for me, I'll ignore that bit...

Re: AB V
I would like them to go a bit more prog. They don't need to go over the top, but some more variety in the song structures could do wonders.

Re: Songs You'd Love to Hear AB Cover?
I'd say Behind the Veil from Dream Theater or another one of their songs. DT sounds quite similar to AB. Melodic, can be pretty heavy and a high pitched singer. Only problem is the lack of keyboard though.

Re: AB V
I hope Mark drops his usual formula for once and makes a 7 minute+ song WITHOUT a chorus. It's blasphemy I know, but I still want to see what Mark can do when he releases himself from his songwriting boundaries for once. He always goes crazy in the bridge when he can do what he want, so why not go c...

Re: The "Cauterize" Listener Review Thread - post yours here
And I found myself complaining a while ago for Tremonti having too generic song structures. It's still a bit there, but DAMN. This album exceeded all my expactations. The song writing is top notch, the guitar solos are awesome and the vocals improved. This is FAR better than All I Was.

Re: Another Heart Has Arrived!!
I can understand people wishing that Tremonti would commit more to a heavier or more metal approach with less hard rock style verses or choruses or harsh vocals... but then if you want to listen to something that is full thrash, speed metal or even death metal, there are plenty of thrash metal and ...

Re: "Oh no, he used the P-word"
I like 'unleashed' Tremonti like what he does with his voice at the end of Decay, anything beyond that I don't think would be his style. When I think about Mark doing "cookie monster vocals", that's kinda what I imagine him sounding like, only with some more distortion. The low Opeth grun...

Re: Another Heart Has Arrived!!
Why do you think him going hard rock is limiting the music so much? I've always pegged Mark as the best guitarist in the modern hard rock genre. I would really a tad disappointed honestly if he went away with it for the next album. In fact, I think that's one of the reasons why I found All I Was to...

Re: AB V
I think that a roar here and there would be pretty nice. Like how Benjamin Burnley sometimes roared in Breaking Benjamin, but then better. I don't think a whole verse or chorus should have a cookie monster, at most one or two sentences. That might give a little shock and a nice bunch of extra power ...

Re: Another Heart Has Arrived!!
I think cookie monster vocals on a few occasions could do wonders. It doesn't need to be a whole song, but sporadically it might add some extra brutality which Mark's work really misses sometimes. It also gives an extra edge to his vocals, making it less generic and more diverse. Think of roaring co...

Re: The "AB III" Appreciation Thread
Especially Slip To The Void, Words Darker Than Their Wings and the bonus tracks are awesome. Is there something I can say? To bring back what once remained Where is all that we let go? Where is home? That chorus is just so awesome, especially the last one when the solo kicks in. I just go instant ai...

Re: AB V
I'd love AB get more progressive, or "experimental" as others like to call it. A few ideas would be longer songs, less standard song structures (verse-chorus-verse-chorus-bridge-chorus), less mid tempo songs and Mark adding the cookie monster vocals to his repertoire.

Finally one of my favorite musicians comes to my city (Amsterdam) and not some other random town in The Netherlands far away. Really excited ![Elated :D](./images/smilies/happy.gif)

Re: Another Heart Has Arrived!!
A bit dissapointing IMO. It's just too standard Tremonti style. Only the solo sounds a bit different (it gave me a bit of an Egyptian feel for some reason, but maybe that's just me) from his previous works. Good melodies, but a mediocore chorus and mediocore riffing. I wish he could just write a ful...

Re: Tremonti's first single: Another Heart
Does anyone else wish he would just go full metal for one song? What I mean by that is that most of his songs start out really metal-like but then the choruses hit and it seamlessly switches over to all-audiences -welcome rock. I'm not saying I want cookie monster vocals or anything, just want some...

Re: Next AB single
I don't know. I don't even know if there is going to be another single. Not really any point of getting another single out if they are not going to do anything after the US tour. Really? Oh, I didn't know that. I hoped they were going to do another European tour after this one. Too bad if they won't.

Next AB single
Hey guys, I was thinking: which song on Fortress should be the next single? We've already got "Addicted To Pain" and "Cry Of Achilles" which are both great but there are just so many options for which could be their next single on this album. I didn't include "Lover" an...

Re: Top 10 AB songs
So I'm making a list of the best non-promoted and non-blackbird-title-track songs because: 1) Blackbird is going to be the number one anyway, so I can just as well leave it out. You will read it as number one no matter what the list is or the position of the song on the list. 2) Promoted songs like...
