Re: The Official SCOTT STAPP Thread

he's gonna lose all the momentum related to the album (if there ever was one). In 25 days, his lyric video for The World I used to Know has only been watched 7653 times. Sadly, no one cares anymore about that album. I guess it's time to move on to the next project. Wish mark could “find time” to do...

Re: The Official SCOTT STAPP Thread

why doesn't Full Circle sound like creed? It's almost as if that record was written by tremonti, without stapp in mind - without the creed sound. That seems to be the case. Because the creed sound is the two of them working together. If I remember correctly, Mark, Brian and Flip jammed together and...

Re: The Official SCOTT STAPP Thread

It's funny to look at the Instagram Creed page. At first, all pictures had the 4 guys on them. There was no mention of any side project, even though Stapp had just released his new album. Things started changing in May, and now, Stapp is on absolutely every picture. It's like he had good attentions ...

Re: The Official SCOTT STAPP Thread

He may be the only one that cares about the band, but he'll never be Creed on his own. Creed was 4 guys (not 3, not 5), and the magic came from their unique chemistry. The Instagram Creed page should then focus equally on all 4 of them, and not turn into Stappworld. It's not like it's popular anyway...

Re: The Official SCOTT STAPP Thread

It is now almost certain that the Creed Instagram page is controlled by Stapp. https://www.instagram.com/officialcreedpage/ At first, there were pictures of each member, but recently, Stapp's been in every single one of them, and he's now plugging his solo stuff and ignoring everything AB-related. I...

Re: What's Next Musically for Alter Bridge? A Concept Album?

Nowadays, rock is all about hooks. Melody is considered a thing of the past, and Alter Bridge is all about melody. If they want success in the USA, they'll have to do what the succesful bands do, meaning short commercial and overproduced songs with a memorable hook. Working with external writers fro...

Re: The Official SCOTT STAPP Thread

That's a good question. I know I've heard it here and there, but I have never made a full list. I'm not always sure it's a B-3 organ, keyboards or mellotron, but I think those little touches link Creed's music to the classic rock sound. You can hear some of those instruments on What's This Life For,...

Eh.
Those musicians are competent, but it sounds like they've never played outside of the studio before.
I find it interesting that he had a keyboard player, though.
I've always thought that the B-3 organ added a lot to the original Creed sound.

Re: Walk The Sky Production Quality.

If I remember correctly, Evlis also wanted to replace the drummer, because he wasn't good enough in the studio. After working with Elvis, Trivium hired Josh Wilbur, and man did it make a difference. It felt like they were finally unleashed creatively, and their next two albums were wery well receive...

Matt Heafy from Trivium recently about talked the producers he's worked with, and here's what he had to say about Elvis, with whom he worked in 2015: https://youtu.be/2EfVLWmAAO8 (it starts around the 39:33 mark) Basically, he's saying that the producer put them in a box and set somes rules about th...

I had no idea Ben Flanders was such a soulful guitar player: https://youtu.be/kJg-CzpB9TY https://youtu.be/HM44Fv38qvo I never thought much of him, but it turns out he's actually quite gifted as a lead guitar player. From a pure technical stand point, Ben, Yannis and Sammy Boller all are much more a...

I hope we finally get to hear his bluesy side. It's been a long time coming, and I'm convinced he could excel in that genre, because he's got the required chops and soul to pull it off.
I also hope they keep it as raw and as the first album.

I saw that comment on Blabbermouth: Mark's brother Michael commenting on a posted article about the rumor. "The rumor is false. No reunion. As soon as Touring is possible again Alter Bridge are starting right back up to continue the Walk The Sky tour. As we speak Mark has written 4 songs for Tr...

As usual with him, it's a great read! https://crypticrock.com/interview-brian-marshall-of-alter-bridge/ there was a point in my journey where I wasn’t wi...

Mark won't like that!
For 15 years, every critic has told him Alter bridge was the better band!
