Last Man Standing is such a great track but the weird transition towards the end throws me off. I wish it was “BRINGS YOU DOWN IN TIME!” with either a silent break and flowing instrumental, but the quick switch to “DRAWN TO THE FLAME” is so odd. Amazing song, though!

I totally understand why other people don’t like their new direction, although I strongly disagree. And that’s okay. I couldn’t be happier that they have gotten heavier and more progressive instead of become the youth group pop rock that Shinedown has become.

The groove feels very Alice In Chains. Very, very cool sound. Myles dipping into his lower register along with Mark’s backing vocals. Such a big step up from Walk The Sky imo. I’m very impressed so far.

I do love Native Son quite a bit, but the one thing that really bothers me about that song is that Myles goes to his nasally tone when he sings “foreign laaaaand”, then in the second chorus he sings it in a more full voice. Just a little thing that I can’t stop noticing, but still a beastly song!
