Re: Scott Stapp Album IV HIGHER POWER

As for 2009 the rumour is he had a benign tumor in his throat. He got it removed but had no time to recover and just went out and started singing like the Volbeat guy lol As a huge fan of Volbeat, I somehow had no idea that this happened. When was that? I'm exaggerating a little haha Its just Scott...

Re: Scott Stapp Album IV HIGHER POWER

The most he's had was with Jon Kurzweg. In a very recent interview he mentioned that Jon would coach him during Creed's heyday to where he could push himself vocally in the studio but also craft a melody that wouldn't risk long term damage to his voice. He cited One Last Breath as the example and sa...

Re: Scott Stapp Album IV HIGHER POWER

Thank you! Appreciate that :^) . I see what you mean regarding Stapp's voice. Ever since Full Circle he seems way more cautious about the way he uses it, with it falling more on his higher register with each subsequent album. Its crazy how balanced he had it from My Own Prison-The Great Divide, but ...

Re: Scott Stapp Album IV HIGHER POWER

I've listened to it three times since I got it, just like I did with The Space Between the Shadows. I feel like I have a pretty solid opinion at this point. I really really love this album. This is the most I've loved an album from the 2020s since Stone Temple Pilots released Perdida. Considering bo...

Re: The Official Art of Anarchy Thread

So I just listened to their new album in full. Funnily enough, I preordered it and apparently it didn't arrive for myself and many others until this week, more than a month after the release date. I got it a few days before I got Stapp's new album. They even have some cheeky post on Facebook about i...

Re: Scott Stapp Album IV HIGHER POWER

Someone said Deadman's Trigger is a reworked version of Original Sin/El Diablo but I haven't listened yet to see if its true. Interesting if Quicksand is one of the songs off that forgotten double album. Crazy that he still is putting out material from that long ago. Yiannis gave an interview lately...

Re: The Official SCOTT STAPP Thread

I always thought it was sort of a questionable tattoo for a self professed Christian, because it looked like a picture of Jaclyn in a bikini. Maybe he covered it up because he was getting questions from people about it. Hahaha good point. Especially now that he's 50 and with an older daughter. Its ...

Re: The Official SCOTT STAPP Thread

Legit same. I would be baffled if they were splitting. She's seen him through the most humiliating and awful parts of his life. Its none of our business but God only knows what could end their marriage at this point. Especially now when Stapp's actually in an amazing place in life and his career. A ...

There are snippets on Facebook but I haven't found anything on Youtube.

God I hope they didn't get divorced. That would be absolutely heart breaking

Re: The Official SCOTT STAPP Thread

Stapp played a solo set recently and it looks really really good. Of 15 songs only 4 were Creed tracks.

He even brought back The Great Divide, Surround Me and Jesus Was a Rockstar. Hope he keeps it up

That new Slash album cover might be the ugliest album art I've ever seen. Makes Weathered look like a Renaissance portrait

Re: Summer 2024 Tour and Summer of '99 and Beyond festival

Based off what Stapp has said it seems like quality music is a priority regardless of whether its made or not. A good comparison would be how Rage Against the Machine and System of a Down reunited and toured but never made a new record. If the creative well is dry then best leave it be. Its better f...

Re: Summer 2024 Tour and Summer of '99 and Beyond festival

I will die on this hill until 12/31/2024 but they are likely going to release that 2012 album to capitalize off this years hype. Even with Stapp saying "there's no new music", it just wouldn't make sense not to. You can't die on a hill until a certain date. You only die once. Ah but what ...

Re: Scott Stapp Album IV HIGHER POWER

Thinking about it a little more. If they want to do more variety of songs, I’d rather more Deep Cuts in Creed’s catalogue like To Whom It May Concern, Is This The End, or On My Sleeve. But a one off Creed-AlterBridge-Solo would be cool. I agree. Rather focus on rare tracks like Young Grow Old, Boun...

Re: Scott Stapp Album IV HIGHER POWER

Yo that's my radio station!!! That's the DJ who hosted the Meet and Greet with Stapp in 2019. He asked some amazing questions here. I think some Tremonti/Stapp songs could work in a Creed set. Especially anything off The Great Divide or One Day Remains. But if anything I'd be most interested in a ne...

I guess so. I gotta admit its a little underwhelming haha they could have easily not been in it and the actual commercial itself has them almost out of frame to everything else. Its cute though. Very wholesome

Re: The Official Art of Anarchy Thread

it's a 7:30 song shitting on stapp lol You think so? I got more political leanings from it than Stapp references. Not that I'm that invested in the lyrics but I know for sure there will be songs shitting on Stapp that I'm curious about. Echo Your Madness and Blind Man's Victory are very obviously g...
