Re: He sat on the "posting" page for 2 days straight.

You can pay me $5/movie and I'll throw in my own voice over. (Will likely not relate to the movies at all and may slip into Spanish at some points) I may have bad hearing but I find myself turning subtitles on during English shows and films sometimes. Sometimes the volume gets super quiet in the mi...

Re: What grinds your gears?

I do feel that some films lose something with a dub. You're hearing an interpretation of an original performance. I'm used to subtitles though, my partner is from Italy and with a Japanese father so I watch a lot of foreign language stuff with her in their original languages (she would never want to...

Re: What grinds your gears?

Joella is having surgery on Monday. My boss is in florida until March 4th and has been since January 2. So I have been running my boss' business for the last month and a half and will be running it until she returns, all while taking 6 writing intensive courses and trying to help care for my mother...

Re: The Official "Total Randomness" Thread

It's also for yourself too. To keep putting yourself through emotional turmoil doesn't. Having to constantly second-guess what's going on beneath the surface of interactions is not going to do your mental health any favours. I'm sure that you can be polite to each other on your music practice. Belie...

I wonder if they'll get footage of launching the helicopter/drone? That would be really cool.

Re: *Promises to take a break...is back the next day*

What I take from this is: - Either she doesn't want to admit that she needs space, or she actually doesn't need space. Doesn't really matter which. - She clearly doesn't see me as boyfriend material. - She wants our "break" to me on my terms, which I don't like. She never did anything wro...

Re: What are you listening to right now?

It's a bit hard to explain as I found them an acquired taste (it must have taken 3 or 4 times hearing them before I got interested) but they have a kind of meditative quality to their music. The appeal is more atmosphere and rhythmic interest than it is melody. It also helps if you like screamed voc...

Re: What are you listening to right now?

I can't stop listening to the new Gojira track! It's like hearing technical, brutal Gojira again and I am so excited for the new record, Fortitude. Born For One Thing is nastier than anything on Magma by a longshot, but still has some of that songwriting accessibility (Silvera, Only Pain) that made...

Re: Lesser Known Artists

This is an older tune called 'Faith is a Room' by KXM. It's a little-known band but the members in it are pretty high hitters. https://youtu.be/syySR57Koi0 The members are: Doug Pinnick (King's X) - Bass, Vocals Ray Luzier (Korn, David Lee Roth, Steel Panther) - Drums George Lynch (Dokken, Lynch Mob...

Re: What grinds your gears?

Thanks guys. It just started as a moan about UK government bureaucracy and suddenly turned into an outpouring of gear grinding! Keep calm and carry on, stiff upper lip, chin up.... and all sorts of other British idioms :P :lol

Re: What grinds your gears?

Long rant here. I know others are also having bad years but I just need a place to vent this stuff. The UK's universal credit system sucks! My mother lives on her own and recently lost her job due to COVID. The bureaucracy of getting payments has left her with no money for almost a month and a half!...

Between the Buried and Me - Voice of Trespass https://youtu.be/Ja0EWloqsKo I never liked these guys at all until their latest double album. I even saw them supporting Periphery back in 2012 and hated them. The albums are called Automata I & II. They're just amazing and it seems like a total 180...

Re: Performance Videos

Your drumming is rather good. That's quite a nice varied set but someone always needs to be on that bass and the drums need to be louder :rockon Thanks! Unfortunately, since it's just the three of us, we can't always have somebody on bass. Also, I mixed this in the middle of the night using only th...
