Re: Tremonti - Episode VI: The End Will Show Us How
So. This one's interesting. It's different. It reminds me of the intro song on the newest Sevendust record at first! I like the slower, moodier vibing opening track. It's something Mark's never done and I'm really digging it. I'll always have a thing for nasty, bendy riffs and this one rules. The c...

Re: Tremonti - Episode VI: The End Will Show Us How
The guitar tone in the verses is awful. I wouldn't personally go so harsh but the guitar part itself is bland, sounds too 'simple' for what Mark usually writes. Nothing against music being simple of course, but Mark has gotten us used to some complex fingerpicking patterns for the verses It's just ...

True. I think every generation has trauma. Life is traumatic for a large proportion of people of all ages.cheesedip1 wrote: ↑Fri May 31, 2024 7:30 pm -----"Generation X has trauma"
I think a lot of generations do.

Re: Amps & Other Guitar Gear
I usually run a Tone City Golden Plexi with the gain almost all the way off as an overdrive. I think that'll work really well with this as it's quite a thick tone . Should sharpen up nicely.

Re: Amps & Other Guitar Gear
Andertons were doing a crazy good half-price deal (+ a PRS pedal ) for brand new PRS combo amps. I snagged me an Archon 50 - can't wait to try it in rehearsal.

Re: Post your age.
You are soooo young Max. I only I'm only 'early' 30's but I'm so completely different to who I was in my 20's. it's wild. 34.... and getting older by the minute. Still continuing to age. 36. This stops at some point, right? If you work out how to stop it, let me know. I didn't. 37 now innit. Such a...

Re: Pawns & Kings (Alter Bridge - VII)
Just a little irritation with Last Man Standing. It feels like they made a relatively poor edit between the bridge solo section and the final pre-chorus at about 4:20. It's so abrupt and the vocal lines smash into each other pretty awkwardly. It makes me think. What was there before? Did that bit go...

Re: Pawns & Kings (Alter Bridge - VII)
If I have to guess, probably Silver Tongue and Sin After Sin. I'll be surprised if they play the title track and Fable of the Silent Son in the next tour, because by then, I imagine they probably have another big title track song or centerpiece epic to play (or both in one song) by then. I fear you...

Re: One Day Remains - 20th Anniversary Content
I miss it too but he did the right thing when he made the choice to conserve and govern his voice / vocals. I blew my falsetto out once and it was gone for 15 years. Myles' "pedal to the metal" days were amazing but not sustainable. I'm glad we got to experience it at all. How exactly do ...

Re: Alter Bridge/Tremonti/MK Misheard Lyrics
The main one I can think of is from Words Darker. I thought the part where Mark sings “lost, just cease to be and not carry on” that he was actually singing “Lost just seems to be my carry on.” And since that makes no sense I thought about it really hard and decided he was saying that feeling lost ...

Re: Tremonti - Episode VI: The End Will Show Us How
Did make me wonder about past albums' lead singles, so - in retrospect, what did people think it SHOULD have been for each album? You are allowed to say the actual one! If you dare... All I Was - Brains Cauterize - Another Heart Dust - Betray Me A Dying Machine - Take You With Me Marching In Time -...

Easy there zaz! :lol ......I'm right behind you Tenacious - 42 this year. I still mentally feel much the same as 21, but my body started fighting me at 35. Do you have those "old man aches" like I do? You know, I've had them off and on for a while now. And I know what I need to do to kick...
