Re: The Fitness Thread
What do you do at Zwift, Dolo? I'd love to hear about it. That whole VR cycling/jogging industry and the tech that goes with it is so cool. I wouldn't be a fan of the VR headset myself. Riding gets hot and sweaty pretty fast and I wouldn't want anything glommed onto my face like that. Not sure if I...

Re: The Fitness Thread
The easy - and naturally, pricey - way is to buy a smart trainer (or smart bike) that connects to the internet and does everything for you (including increasing or decreasing resistance based in inclines or declines on the road) and you just attach your bike onto the trainer and pick a route or wor...

Re: The Official "Total Randomness" Thread
Dude, as I'm reading this I see myself in all those situations when I was hopelessly in love. Bad decisions, ridiculous reasoning, hoping for something that is never gonna happen. Looking at the way you and she's approaching this, it's never gonna work out. The worst thing is - no matter what we say...

Re: What are you listening to right now?
I don't want to come across as an edgelord but I don't really get the appeal of Gojira. Their music doesn't sound any different from the rest of tech prog bands and yet people consider them 'the future of metal'. Obviously they are great players, they perform with a lot of attitude and the whole col...

Re: The Random Alter Bridge Thread
I don't dig songs based off of their intros, so I agree with you on that. My favorite part of Calm The Fire is the chorus, but I wish the drums weren't in half-time for it. Well, the chorus is both in half-time and in double-time and either of them seem to fit so I feel you're being snippy a little...

Re: The Random Alter Bridge Thread
Listened to Life Must Go On today. It's nothing really special to me, although I don't dislike it either. Also, I don't understand what's all the hype about Calm The Fire. Listened to it for the second time today. I don't see anything really special about it, although I like the catchy chorus. The ...

Too playful for my liking, but I was expecting something along the lines of any major AB single which was a mistake.

Re: Walk The Sky 2.0
The one video on youtube, they had a good position in the crowd, but they did not film it very well. Alas. There are three youtubers that uploaded parts of the Berlin show. This is the only one that uploaded Pay No Mind. At least there was one. https://youtu.be/mlb5W3NyakA fucking hell Mark's guita...

Re: The Official "Total Randomness" Thread
I kinda got lost along the way - do you still want to pursue that relationship or not? Have you told her about your feelings? Have you been rejected? Speaking from my personal experience - I was trying to get that one girl for 3 years straight. 3 fucking years. Despite being rejected once I told mys...

Re: You have permission to tell me to shut up
What's Metallica? Metallica is an American heavy metal band. The band was formed in 1981 in Los Angeles by vocalist/guitarist James Hetfield and drummer Lars Ulrich, and has been based in San Francisco for most of its career.[1][2] The band's fast tempos, instrumentals and aggressive musicianship m...

Re: Reasons why Alter Bridge doesn't play songs live?
Maybe I'm biased. I have a talent for knowing how to play many songs off the top of my head (and by many, I mean hundreds), so if I was in a band, at least I would be able to not keep a consistent setlist and still deliver well. It's not about knowing songs. I'm sure they could figure their parts o...

Re: Reasons why Alter Bridge doesn't play songs live?
Too much hassle. It's easier for a band to have a consistent setlist every night. I would love to hear some deep cuts, but I don't believe you'll every hear those with AB.

Open Your Eyes in the summer of 2007. Then Rise Today probably, which just had been released at that point.

Re: Live recordings of all shows?
https://www.disclivenetwork.com/detail.cfm?artistid=49 Dude, thank you for this! I had no idea they were still available to order. I used to have one show I bought just to get the Tremonti guitar USB drive, but then I traveled around with it a bunch and somewhere along the way, it got broken and ca...
