Re: What are you listening to right now?

I'm listening to the audiobook version of The Stone Cold Truth. Stone Cold Steve Austin's autobiography that WWE published back in 2003 or so, told by Stone Cold Steve Austin, himself, and JR Jim Ross. Austin has been a blast to listen to and you wouldn't think he was reading off of his biography by...

Re: Walk The Sky Production Quality.

One of the best songs ever? One of the best solos of all time? Please... Have you guys listened to anything else than US modern hard rock? Pink Floyd alone has dozens of songs that are more impressive than Blackbird. Yes, I have. I've been listening to a lot of JPop/JRock as opposed to the US moder...

Re: The Official "Total Randomness" Thread

I wonder if it is possible for me to get a raft, supply it with some snacks to last a week or so, and float along the Pacific coast without a care until I end up in British Columbia, Canada. Sounds like a fun (but stupid) endeavor to embark on.

Re: The Official "Total Randomness" Thread

Well, as always, I'm conflicted on what to get for dinner. Either Hawaiian BBQ (Chicken Katsu with rice and macaroni salad and a side of spam musubi) or Mexican (LA Hot Dog with Onion Rings and enchiladas). Price is mainly the same, around $12-13.

Re: The Random Alter Bridge Thread

Here's, I believe, part 4 of discussing what's going on in the process of making these albums with Myles featuring World on Fire, The Last Hero, and Year of the Tiger. I presume there will be a part 5 featuring Living the Dream, Walk the Sky, and hopefully, what's to come for the next solo album? ht...

Re: The Random Alter Bridge Thread

An AB reggae album would be something off the board that the fanbase cannot stomach. I would put that in the Shinedown/Skillet/Papa Roach level of them trying to "change" their sound and failing in glaring aspects. I wouldn't want to see that in AB and I'm pretty certain that Slash fans wo...

Myles talking about his MF4 past and why you shouldn't listen to favorite artist's new album before recording one yourself. I didn't know that he in the end declined Led Zeppelin's offer. I always assumed it was them who didn't want to have Myles as a singer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4KBh9jK...

Re: Mammoth WVH (Wolfgang Van Halen) - Distance

Found an article from Ultimate-Guitar about him talking about how he ended up with Tremonti. Let's go ahead and remove any notion that him leaving Tremonti was a bad one, since he wanted to tour with Van Halen in 2015 (and as we all eventually learned, it would have ended up being their last tour ev...

Re: Alter Bridge - Magazine Covers

So let's recap, the year AB could have had in what is normally the busy touring part of the album release. States headlining tour in Winter (they did that. I was there for four of those shows.) I heard rumors that they would have done an Asia tour and probably hit Australia/New Zealand along the way...

Re: The Official "Total Randomness" Thread

You know. It just dawned on me. In all of the concerts and Kings games I've been to in the LA area, I have never once gotten a LA Hot Dog from a cart parked outside of the venue after the event is over. I always grab something to eat hours before I get to the venue and I don't carry cash around. Tha...

Re: The Official "Total Randomness" Thread

^^ Sounds like a nice smooth way to have a change of pace in life. Godspeed then. As for me. Still working at home. Still taking advantage of Grubhub deals (got $7.00 off an order of pasta at Corner Bakery Cafe, last Sunday). Stopped playing WoW for two weeks due to mental fatigue from the game. Uni...

That part is honestly irrelevant if you hear the dribble that's on Octane at times.

Re: Creed getting back together in 2020?

and they would have to come back with a huge single to generate some interest among former fans who don't follow the band anymore. I don't know if Mark is capable of this anymore. Especially if they hire Elvis again. Their standard AB single formula wasn't too successful the last few times. I still...

Re: The Official "Total Randomness" Thread

I'm out of touch with everything and I don't really care. I don't listen to bands because based on the fact they win awards or not, so stuff like Grammys, VMAs, even friken the Revolver Golden God Awards they used to host. That means nothing to me.

Re: What are you watching right now?

I'm watching this Japanese Live Action called The Way of the Househusband. It's mainly about a former Yakuza boss that's living his days being, well, a househusband. I've read the manga on this. It's pretty darn funny. He takes all the mundane things about being a househusband/housewife and does tho...

It's honestly not that expensive. The sandwich/soup combo I might get is going to cost me about $13.50 (tax included) and that's not even factoring in the coupon I got.

Re: The Official "Total Randomness" Thread

I don't know jack about phones. Also, I'm frugal, so I always go with the "if it isn't broke, don't buy anything new." Wait, clam chowder is real? I thought it was a joke from the Simpsons. Yeah, it's real. I had a bread bowl when I went to San Francisco during the weekend before the AB co...

That's nice and all, but I got a coupon where I can get $7.00 off any pickup order on Grubhub if I order $10.00+ worth of food and has an expiration date. Can't waste that.

Re: The Official "Total Randomness" Thread

All right, guys. I need some help with some lunch plans.

I'm contemplating either getting a Clam Chowder bread bowl with half a BLT sandwich from one place or a Calzone with some Sausage rolls from another place. What should I go with? Both restaurants are virtually the same price.
