Re: The Last Hero - AB Nation Discussion

This album is a grower the same way Fortress was. It feels like a hybrid of Fortress and ABIII. Musicianship has improved and I feel a lot of strong connections with the lyrical premise of the album, so it is a bit subjective for me. All and all I would say the album is near perfect, I find somethin...

Re: "Show Me a Leader" discussion

Got to hear the "Radio Edit" and the "Album Version" and it is quite a shame that they had to condense it down. The song as a whole rips. Something different and it definitely grows on you with each listen. Cannot wait for the whole album. Thank you Alter Bridge!

Re: The Official SHINEDOWN Thread

The new single is waaaay to cliche for my tastes. They seem to be light years away from what made them great in my opinion. Guitar is lacking, music depth in general is not there, and the lyrics lack passion. Not to optimistic for the release.

Re: The "Cauterize" Listener Review Thread - post yours here

I've heard a lot of people mention of Progressive tastes ruining the album for them. If I had any advice, don't let other music interfere with what it is. Enjoy it for what it is. I believe Mark has stated multiple times that he loves adding progressive elements to his music with keeping some sort o...

Re: The "Cauterize" Listener Review Thread - post yours here

I really enjoyed the new album. Been spinning it for awhile now, definitely a grower. It is so neat to hear him grow as a songwriter. Such a bright future

Re: The Official Power/Goth/Melodic Death Metal Thread

Just got their albums. Very pleased. I always loved Jani as a guitarist, never thought he should of left Sonata. But with that his new stuff is great!

Re: *Ex-Three Days Grace Singer's New Band-Saint Asonia*

The material isn't horrible, just a little bland for the caliber of musicians coming together. I'll wait to pass full judgement when the album comes out

Re: The Official Power/Goth/Melodic Death Metal Thread

Just had the pleasure of listening to "Haven" I am proud to say it is quite a bit different from anything they have done yet. I would highly advise giving it a listen. Probably their most diverse album to date. Here is a nice article on it http://bravewords.com/features/kamelot-far-beyond-...

Re: The Official Power/Goth/Melodic Death Metal Thread

Thank you!! But yeah appreciate your view. At least you gave them a shot. They are very polished, and if you seen them live they are even better. Extremely accurate and in depth metal. So if you like your stuff a little more loose, yeah it may not be for you. Who knows maybe in the future they will ...

Re: The Official Power/Goth/Melodic Death Metal Thread

Yeah I got to see Kamelot a year after that show. It was on Roy's downturn :( Still a hell of a good show. And yeah the new Nightwish is solid like you stated. Nothing to adventurous but I think they wanted to keep is stable when they introduced Floor as the new lead. Got better with each listen tho...

Re: The Official Power/Goth/Melodic Death Metal Thread

Fair enough points Lotha and I really respect your perspective and insight. I guess I assumed to quick where you were coming from. Btw One Cold Winter's Night is one hell of a show! Also the new Nightwish...how do you like it?
