Re: Lick Library Learn to Play Alter Bridge DVD

Dude, you don't need to tell me where should I go or what should I do, my point is that if someone pays 28 euros for such DVD, he or she may expect to be taught all the mentioned songs in their entirety. Mr. James gets paid for covering these songs so he should buckle down to it I believe you're ex...

Re: Lick Library Learn to Play Alter Bridge DVD

So lately I've checked this DVD out and I'm not impressed at all. To be honest, only the major parts of the songs are covered, for example, the tutorial lacks the chorusy-cleany pre-chorus part of Isolation, which is audiable in the 'Performance' section, but for some reason Andy James doesn't teac...

Re: New Guitar Advice

This is the perfect alternative, in that case! A couple other good upgrades are the locking tuners, and if necessary, a better nut, but the one on there will do the job just fine. It won't be as good, compared to the USA model, but it'll be pretty close, and it will still sound and play like a cham...

Re: The Sound and the Story question

As far as the DVD is concerned, they do walk you through every single part of the songs, but based on how green you are, I would recommend first finding a few easier songs for you to tackle on your own first (by all means, get the DVD now too) by going to ultimate-guitar.com and downloading some fre...

Re: Looking for some help with a dream

I didn't make it sadly. But thanks anyway. Ill try again next year Keep at it man, try to reach out to local musicians or find open mics and get with some ppl that might be able to help you out so you don't panic the first time you're playing with a band. Cauterize (Tremonti II) comes out in May I ...

Agreed. Compared the root notes of the rhythm to the bridge for Cry of Achilles, which is all Eb power chords. It's in Eb tuning.

Re: Lick Library Learn to Play Alter Bridge DVD

I just started with the TTB intro riff yesterday and to tell you the truth, I could play it quite well within 20-30 minutes of grasping and applying. It all comes down to the picking rhythm which is down-up-down for the E string and up-down or up-up for the A string. Then all you've got to do is ma...

Re: PRS Tremonti SE Custom vs. PRS Tremonti 2013

so I just bought the Tremonti SE Custom in Tobacco Burst, and it's AWESOME! I'm going to refrain from posting photos or audio until I can get the USA pickups, replace the nut, and get it set up for the tuning my band and I play in (Drop C) - should take a few weeks to get the funds scrounged togethe...

Re: PRS Tremonti SE Custom vs. PRS Tremonti 2013

I haven't played the SE 245, but if you think Les Pauls are too heavy, then I would not get the Tremonti Custom. It's close to the same weight, maybe a little bit lighter but not by much. The tone on the Tremonti SE Custom is really good, but if it were me I would swap out the pickups for the USA mo...

Re: Pandora's Box

After buying the Cube, for practice purposes, the amp by itself is frickin' AWESOME. Not sure if I even need the Pandora after tinkering with the Cube's distortion presets. Tuner sucks on the amp though. Does anyone recommend a good drum machine style pedal for rhythm training?

Re: PRS Tremonti SE Custom vs. PRS Tremonti 2013

that's really good to know. I've spoken to Tim a few times regarding the Artist session, he's a really cool dude and his customer service is excellent. I've only been able to play one Tremonti SE Custom at Guitar Center, and it plays nicely, but that's the only drawback to ordering from Fret12, you ...

Re: Pandora's Box

Thanks Jhenrid.

MrWendt, amazon has the pandora stomp box for $129 and the mini for $60.

I'm strongly considering the stomp box to go with the Cube.

Re: PRS Tremonti SE Custom vs. PRS Tremonti 2013

rockit, based on the price on eBay, he got the stoptail. The SE Customs (trem) aren't even being sold on eBay used yet. Good info on the SEs, I have one or two guys who can do all that work. Question for me becomes though, who to order from? Amazon? eBay? Fret 12? buy direct at Guitar Center?

Re: Pandora's Box

do you know where I can pick one up online? Also, I'm not sure if it was an effect pedal itself or it was the amp he was using, I can't remember clearly. If it's an actual amp, I want to get either this or the Roland Cube for my apartment to practice. Mark had this at the NYC show on April 24th and ...
