Re: The Official SCOTT STAPP Thread

heres another one, am not sure if this was posted here, the energy levels in that voice are clearly very different. I might be reading too much into it, but Stapp does sound distracted(possibly cuz...) Listening to those interviews back to back clearly shows something was different. He's talking wa...

Re: The Official SCOTT STAPP Thread

For those who haven't listened, in the first interview, Scott talks about 9/11 and almost shelving Don't Stop Dancing.
In the second one, he talks about his car accident, Mark's Mom's death and Creed's future.

Re: ERock & Creed: Twitter, MySpace, Facebook

So much raw talent in these early days.
I wonder how Mark would feel if he ever listened or watched old videos from that era, when they were still friends. He's gotta realize it was not so bad, hasn't he?

Re: The Official SCOTT STAPP Thread

By the way, in this very good interview, Stapp says he intends to record a new solo album in early 2021 and that he already has a lot of material.

Re: The Official SCOTT STAPP Thread

Here's a new interview from last month: https://youtu.be/8oxreqayaUY https://www.ultimate-guitar.com/news/general_music_news/scott_stapp_addresses_articles_referring_to_him_as_former_creed_singer_talks_reunion_odds.html When asked, "Are you still the lead singer of Creed or is that now somethin...

Did you know about this official Instagram account?
https://www.instagram.com/officialcreedpage/
I'm shocked it only has 2877 followers.

Re: The Official SCOTT STAPP Thread

I never liked Somber, or the demos he previewed during a live video and that didn't make the cut on Proof of Life. On all that stuff, he sounded completely lost musically.

Re: The Official SCOTT STAPP Thread

there are legions of fans outside of the world wide web. Creed or Stapp would draw a massive and I mean a massive crowd in my country if they ever showed up here, and the crowds would show up year after year if they did, cuz their statistics never told them how huge a following they still have at t...

Re: The Official SCOTT STAPP Thread

Artists evolve. As much as I'd love to hear the 1997-2001 Stapp, that dude doesn't exist anymore. It's the same thing for the 1997-2004 Tremonti. We can either accept it, and try to enjoy what they bring later in their career, or refuse to accept the new artists they've become. If we compare their n...

Re: The Official SCOTT STAPP Thread

Sure, things could be better. But like 99% of musicians, he's probably never going to be as creative as he was at his peak in his 20's. The guy's 46, and no one cares about new music coming from him. Even if he wrote the best song of his career, radio still wouldn't play it, because it's still a coo...

Also, I don't know what you're talking about. His latest album was surprisingly great!

Re: ERock & Creed: Twitter, MySpace, Facebook

Here it is: https://youtu.be/qpSYdLKbmxk That quote at the end is funny to hear in retrospect: It doesn't look like Creed and their million + sales would be going anywhere, any time soon. She had no idea of what was gonna happen to the band, and no one could have predicted this was the beginnng of t...

Re: Do you prefer Creed or Alter Bridge?

It's a close call for me, since both are some of my all time favourite bands. Creed is more soulful and groovy, and Stapp's lyrics are much deeper than Myles'. Stapp is also a born frontman, whereas it's not a natural talent for Myles: Stapp has a commanding presence on stage, and as nice and funny ...

Re: Revisiting Full Circle

What he says at 3:05 about getting heavier on future albums is very frustrating.
We'll never know how awesome this band would/could have been in the 2000's. I'm sure they still had two great top-to-bottom albums in them, at least.

Re: Revisiting Full Circle

I had never seen that! It's nice to see Mark and Stapp running and playing baseball together. They've said so many times that the band was done and it was just a business after Human Clay, and this video shows that they were actually still good friends in 2001. That's the kind of stuff they should a...

Re: The Official SCOTT STAPP Thread

I was not sold on that Broken performance.
Since he can barely play guitar, he changed the song a lot, and he struggled to hit those high notes. It was also very repetitive, since he played the same guitar pattern again and again for 5 minutes.

Re: The Official SCOTT STAPP Thread

Their success is very limited. If they're growing, it's way too slowly, and I doubt they're making much money with that band. A lot of people don't realize how little money bands make these days, and with the Covid-19 crisis, most of them won't be able to rely on touring money for a while. So what d...

Re: The Official SCOTT STAPP Thread

The 2008 financial crisis probably played a role in Creed's first reunion. Who knows, maybe the forecoming one will have the same consequence, but I'd rather they didn't do it if they don't commit to it 100%. Creed should not be a band you only dig up only when you struggle financiallly. As to Tremo...
