Re: The Ides of March
so what's the "motown" song? that comment piqued my interest last summer. Wake me when it’s over...catchy as hell! Wait what? What about that song sounds Motown to you? I'm pretty sure the motown song didn't make the record, unless it's that walmart bonus track. Has anyone heard the bonus...

unless it's that walmart bonus track. Has anyone heard the bonus track yet? I havent seen any proof of otherwise but its my understanding there's no true "bonus track" because Walmart listed it as Get Along which is an album song already not to mention a single :lol So I think Walmart fuc...

Another song You're to Blame at around the 50ish minute mark in this Howard Stern interview. It sounds awesome!

Re: GW
He's going to be drumming for Wolfie's touring band. It's in this Howard Stern interview. They debut 2 of Wolfie's songs too, they are great!

Yeah, I hope Garrett is doing okay too. I'm not on Facebook, does anyone here follow his page? Maybe he has posted some updates. Apparently he's going to playing for Wolfie's touring band for his new solo music. Check out this Howard Stern interview, it's a really good interview. They debut 2 songs...

Re: The meaning of each Alter Bridge song
Thanks for the new interpretations, I'll update the original post later. I'm not entirely sure about this, but wasn't there an interview where Brian said Myles had written a song about his substance abuse problems, and at the time, he was not aware the song was about him? I do remember reading some...

Re: Walk The Sky Reaction Thread
After listening album for two more times, I want to give an advice for those who are still struggling with this record: listen it with a volume slightly above the middle and take a walk during the process. Personally I always listen to music on the highest volume, but Walk The Sky sounds almost unl...

Walk The Sky Intricacies
I think people have digested this album enough that they are starting to pick up on some stuff maybe not everyone is hearing. What are some cool intricacies you guys have heard so far on the album? I'll start. Has anyone noticed on the first softer part of the bridge for Walking on the Sky that it h...

Re: Forever Falling: AB's best work since Blackbird title track?
I'd put it in the top tier but there's other stuff above it on each of their last few albums for me. Agree about live though, it's going to be enormous. Hearing it live can also affect how much I like the song too. I though Crows on a Wire was an ok song, but grew to love it watching them play it l...

Re: Walk The Sky Reaction Thread
So I'm always super late to this, but I just have to comment quickly on my overall thoughts about this album. First off, just have to say it - The Last Hero is probably my least favorite album. Something about it didn't connect with me as well as the other albums did. And I think I figured out esse...

Idk if this has been posted or not, but here is the story behind that man Mark wrote Godspeed about.

Re: Walk The Sky Reaction Thread
It didn't click right away, but I've reaaaaaally grown to love Walking on the Sky. I know it's inspired by walking on a wire between buildings, but what do you guys take away as the metaphor for the song? The lyrics "you're losing balance where you can't let go" in the bridge really hit me...

Re: Walk The Sky Reaction Thread
So, Walking on the Sky finally fully clicked for me. That song is amazing. I just need to spin Godspeed, Native Son, Indoctrination, and Clear Horizon a little bit more. I like them, but I still can't fully play the songs out in my head, which means I haven't listened to them enough to really get to...

Re: Walk The Sky Reaction Thread
Well, Forever Falling and Walking On The Sky are for sure in my top 10 favorite AB songs now. Holy shit balls man. I am loving this album. This. Can't quite believe how much I'm enjoying the album and these two songs in particular, it's proving impossible to listen to either of them without jigging...

I'm equally surprised. The best songs are the epics for me usually.Dolo wrote:ToNsOFuN88 wrote: Two of the best songs on the album. .
.....Seriously? Your taste has to be really specific. For me the subject matter and the instrumentation is just too much to bear.
On unrelated note: do I heard a banjo in Indoctrination?

Re: Alter Bridge - Magazine Covers
“I dunno, I’m not really me as a frontman, I’m more like a WWF wrestler!” Tremonti says with a chuckle, flexing his inked biceps with a comically butch grunt. “With me it’s like turning on a light switch when you hit the stage. I try to be like Popeye when he eats his spinach up there.” Mark doesn't...

Re: Walk The Sky Reaction Thread
As an alter Bridge Fan I can honestly say from the bottom of my heart I have never been so disappointed with one of their albums. I have no idea why they went this direction. Gone are the great hooks of the past songs, replaced by a generic sounding rock album that shows they really put zero collec...

Re: Walk The Sky Reaction Thread
For people who state that there are no bad songs here - what do you say about The Bitter End and Tear Us Apart? I'm sorry but that's AB at its cheesiest. Two of the best songs on the album. Uplifting and positive doesn't have to equal cheesy every time. It's ok for Myles to write about being happy ...
