Song 0 from back in the day

Great write-ups, Max. I haven't seen Halestorm in a bit so I didn't know how they're opening shows these days, but Lzzy put on what is still my favorite intro I've ever seen. Knowing your borderline unhealthy obsession with her ;) you may have seen this already, but back on their first national tour...

Re: we should live here while we live

I'm starting a new job (contract) on August 7 which means I have the next two weeks off with no responsibilities. Anny suggestions for things to do - I live in Houston, Texas and wouldn't mind a bit of travel. (I may need to go apartment hunting though as my current apt wants to know what I'm doing...

American Pancakes today, SkyNet tomorrow

Had to share the most unique spam that I've seen come through on these boards: (American Pancake was linked to what appeared to be a legit article about pancakes for SEO efforts. Not sure if it was real or not so I removed it to be safe) American pancake is an well-executed range of flavors and tex...

Re: Mark about a Creed reunion

Given the price of packages for the cruise, it made some financial sense to advertise the cruise first before any tour plans were announced. If some people had a G to drop on Creed, they might have chosen to travel to 3 or 4 shows instead of booking a cruise package. You can see why the cruise opera...

Exactly how I feel. It's almost unforgivable. His presentation of Oppenheimer isn't nearly as morally egregious, but it's just as tangential.

Wout van Aert, Iron Maiden's Paschendale, Duvel - yay!!

Happy Belgian National Day, everyone! Especially you, Timo. I'm a bit confused that you know about our National Day, but thanks! :cheers Confused...because I'm from the US and have a hint of knowledge and any interest about another country but my own? Yeah, I accept that. Granted, they did referenc...

Oppenheimer

I saw Oppenheimer last night. I was very excited, and anxious, about this movie for a few reasons. Several years ago I read American Prometheus , the book on which the movie was based, and I've read several other books about Oppenheimer and the Manhattan Project, so it's a character and period that ...

Ok jurors, follow me here...

Is there any genuine reason they can't just accept it in writing? Sorry to hear you have to deal with the bs anyway and I hope you can still enjoy some well deserved rest. And happy birthday, Kevin! It's particularly silly because the defense's contention is that the accused is not the guy who actu...

Weren't you the one considering moving here?

What a fucking day. This week is the only full week off I have all summer. Our family had planned to get out of town for a bit of vacation, but that got put in limbo because I was subpoenaed for a court case to testify on behalf of a patient I saw who got shot (basically I go to court to read the c...

Re: Mark about a Creed reunion

I agree that the buildup and announcement was not handled well, but good PR and hype has never been a strong point of AB and most of the side projects.

But for all those disappointed that they only announced the cruise yesterday, relax. There's going to be a tour. Mark has always said as much.

The End Is Here?

Ew I just got an email about the cruise, lousy AB mailing list betraying me like that. All right, Creed cruise is in April 2024. AB has the Fall to do something. Right? The something being to stop being too scared to play Fable live. I'm fully expecting a late spring/summer amphitheater tour after ...

Re: The Official "Total Randomness" Thread

Hi. May I ask why people join fan clubs? Like the linkin park fan club for instance? What do people get out of it? Occasional deals on tickets or merch or something? I subscribe to the Iron Maiden fan club because they select their First to the Barrier pre-entry guests from there. Paid off when I s...

It's big and old. We are small and fleeting.

That's awesome, Crumbso! And that is a freaking huge bike. I hope you had good weather. It's been all over the place in the US Southwest this spring when usually you can count on a lot of warm (but not too hot) sunny days with just scattered showers. Hopefully you're over covid and it wasn't too bad...
