Re: Rarities & B-Sides

The producer has a much bigger effect than you'd think. If someone isn't there to suggest adding something in the first place, or champion a certain approach then you get a very very different product. I've produced with a couple of bands, although granted it's nothing compared to Elvis's back catal...

Re: Rarities & B-Sides

Sweet. Never heard that one. Don't really like the song but the solo is pure Tremonti. I've added it to the list.

Re: Tremonti Project: Previews

Try living in the UK. The cheapest I could get the special edition was $65!!! I love Tremonti but I just don't have the disposable income to be spending that on ONE album.

Re: Rarities & B-Sides

What was up with the tuning on that show anyway? They all some massively out of wack. Especially Come to Life.

Re: Rarities & B-Sides

Oh and I also really love the old bridge/solo section of the old Come To Life version. Much more soul and melody to that solo and the way Myles sings "Don't forget we're here to staaahaayyy C'mon" is just kick arse. I suppose it's inevitable that the first version you hear of something is ...

Re: Rarities & B-Sides

I remember reading it was heavily revised in the pre-production phase. It was given a much more traditional structure in my opinion. Plus why sideline that awesome intro riff to just one pre-chorus?

Re: The 4th Album

We're really talking about ABiV already? Wow. Times flies. You are not funny in any way. Excuse me?.. Please point out to me which part of my post was intended to be a joke of any form? Be quiet. I took it as a sophisticated sarcasm No, I won't be quiet, you won't tell me what to do. Now this is fu...

Re: Rarities & B-Sides

It's pretty cool to listen to "Buried Alive" & "Come toLife" for example, and see how far the tracks themselves have progressed...from the concepts posted here, to the recorded versions and eventually the evolved monsters they play LIVE now. Very cool, thanks. I love love lo...

Re: Rarities & B-Sides

Where is Myles on that Fozzy track? His voice is incredibly low in the mix. He sings the "I am nameless. I am faceless." bits. This was recorded at the same time as ODR, in the same studio I believe, so it's very early Myles and a bit grittier. It sounds like he is singing both octaves yo...

Re: Rarities & B-Sides

Oh and here's hoping for Breath, Cruel Sun and Solace one day. Didn't we also hear about a Blackbird b-side that never came out as well? It was called Outright or something, although I think they said it might have turned into something that made ABIII. I would give me right arm for a recording of O...

Wow thanks abw1987. I've added those to the initial post now. Makes me remember just how amazing they were in the smaller venues.

Rarities & B-Sides

Just thought I'd post a collection of B-sides and rarities in roughly chronoligical order for some of our younger members and new converts. Loadsa material here that you're not gonna get from just buying the albums. Please post any other rarities or noteworthy performances you may have. I know there...

All I Was - Lyrics thread

Hi guys. Here's what I've managed to piece together of the lyrics from all the previews. Alot of it may be wrong and the highlighted ones I really don't know what Tremo is yammering about but hope you enjoy and discuss. Man I really missed Tremonti lyrics, I feel much better now. 01 - LEAVE IT ALONE...

Re: The 4th Album

I don't really see how recording to analogue will help. CD's are digital which means that it gets transferred to it during mastering. This is where I'm lead to believe most clipping occurs. All analogue would do, aside from making things be done in fewer takes is make the sound a bit warmer. You can...

Re: Tremonti Project: Previews

New Way Out sounds awesome. The more I hear of the songs, the more interesting they seem to become. Brains is just stupidly epic as an intro and Wish You Well sounds like it could have an interesting structure. Totally looking forward to it again now. All assumptions are swept away and I can wait to...
