Re: DUST - The Second Part

I have taken note over the last 24 hours of everyone here who has commented on stolen content from this band, my family. I am not petty , I understand the temptation but I remember everything. Steal from us and you are hurting a very young band that doesn't have a lot of money. This record is the d...

Re: DUST - The Second Part

Tim, I think you are super cool for being involved and sharing with the members on this board the way you have. I have a ton of respect, I really do. With that said, this stunt appears to be two-fold; to negate as many stolen copies as possible and to shore up as many album sales as possible. With ...

Re: DUST - The Second Part

I can see where some of you all are coming from, but for people like me who are waiting until Friday, it makes coming to threads like this pretty useless until release today because all I have to read are spoilers about what the songs sound like and what their lyrics are. I don't personally care if...

Re: DUST - The Second Part

^Exactly. I didn't send anybody a link, didn't share any mp3s. Just talked about the music, like most people have done here for years with leaks with all these bands. I'm just wondering if there's a new rule where you can't talk about music until it's released because that seems really pedantic.

Re: DUST - The Second Part

What? Are we not allowed to post about the songs until they're officially released? Is this some new rule? That's pretty lame.

Re: DUST - The Second Part

Building on that, I reckon that the reason the songwriting structure is so often criticised and obvious is that often the individual parts are very clear and distinct. There's no real transition from one part to another, the next part just begins and shifts the feel of the song immediately.

I like the drums towards the end of Fortress. Really makes that last soft section.

Re: DUST - The Second Part

All three songs so far have been good without being great. Hoping the rest of Dust is a little different.

Your ear will become more receptive to it with time.

Re: DUST - The Second Part

I like My Last Mistake much more than Dust. Only listened a few times though.

Although I think I'm just gonna wait for the album to release to listen to any more. Don't wanna ruin the whole experience.

Yeah...it's alright. Hate to be a negative nelly but it doesn't sound like anything special to me to be honest.

Re: The Star Wars Thread (Episode VII Spoilers Inside)

Personally, I thought it was quite average. A solid 6/10. Agree a lot with what Fish Tacos said. In terms of acting, I think the actress who played Rey did a good job, but I definitely agree that Finn's character was played a bit over the top and his lack of charisma was really exposed by the averag...

Re: 'With Arms Wide Open: A Retrospective' (Nov. 20th)

I've only listened to the preview of More Than This, and it does sound like it's missing vocals. But I really really like the instrumentation that follows, so hope no vocals get added.

Re: DUST - The Second Part

I don't imagine Dust would come out any later than April, since the back-half of the year is mostly AB stuff for the next album.
