Re: Official "The Last Hero" Thread
To be honest I'm really glad the previews went down. It makes hearing the album in entirety for the first time more enjoyable in my opinion.

Re: "Show Me a Leader" discussion
The intro definitely adds a lot. Makes it a much smoother transition when it cuts to the main part of the song.

Re: "Show Me a Leader" discussion
Yeah, it's alright. Definitely sounds a bit like the Slash stuff. Only gonna listen to it a couple more times to make sure the shine doesn't wear off.
Although to be fair, I never really like their singles when they initially come out.

Re: The Game of Thrones Thread.
The last couple seasons of Game of Thrones have been pretty average, but the season finale was awesome and really reinvigorated my interest in the show. Hopefully next season is interesting and not just more of people travelling to different destinations.

Re: ABV named "The Last Hero"
I gotta be honest. That cover looks real strange. Doesn't suit Alter Bridge at all, and there's absolutely no subtlety. Also, if the track listing on wikipedia is accurate, I'm stoked that there are a lot of songs in excess of 6 minutes. Hope it's an indication of something good. :lol you think Wik...

Re: AB V
I'd just rather have them all. I never have and never will view an album as it's own piece of art that should be pruned. To me it's just an amalgamation of songs and if they're good enough to release at all and charge for them, just slap it on the disk. I can't prove it but I reckon a lot of artist...

Re: DUST - The Second Part
Full Circle, instrumentally, blows any early Creed album out of the water. Those were just power chords and a few base lines here and there. FC actually has solos... I don't wanna be a stickler but I completely disagree with you. Don't mistake speed and technicality for better music. A lot of the r...

I would honestly be stoked with 13 different tracks all in the vein of Lover.

Re: Create Your 10 Track DUSTERIZE
Since everyone else is cheating, figured I'd go with 13 songs. 1. Flying Monkeys 2. Arm Yourself 3. Dust (thinking about ditching this one) 4. Another Heart 5. Tore My Heart Out 6. My Last Mistake 7. Tie The Noose 8. Fall Again 9. Betray Me 10. Never Wrong 11. Rising Storm 12. Unable To See 13. Dark...

Re: DUST Listener Reviews
Makes sense that Unable To See was written around the ODR cycle. It uses a lot of the same chords as Shed My Skin.

Re: DUST - The Second Part
0:00 is the guitar part from Solace, one of the unreleased tracks from the ODR sessions.
But the other two are unused as of today.
To be honest, I don't really like how he uses those DVD guitar parts in actual songs.

Tore My Heart Out, Never Wrong, Rising Storm my current favourites.
A lot of great riffs on this one, moreso than Cauterize.
Album still suffers from a mis-match of parts on a lot of songs though.

Hmmmm I haven't lived anywhere else so hard to say. Our cities are a bit behind most other big cities in the world, but you can usually drive out a couple hours and find some beautiful to look at. Lots of outdoors-y stuff. Multi-cultural. We do have a shitty Prime Minister though. I think I'll stop ...
