Heh, I forgot how much I loved FFXIV. Too bad as soon as my summer break begins, people get busy. Ah well, it's always good to meet new people.

Has anyone actually played Watch Dogs yet? As of now, I've largely been seeing a pretty negative reaction with people claiming it was overhyped, people saying they were disappointed it's so unpolished after the delays, people annoyed that this has been marketed as true next gen, etc.

People are even making videos exposing some of the more obvious issues with graphics and physics:

I haven't seen some of the stuff shown in these videos since the PS2 era. I'm sure it could still be a fun game but this looks... pretty bad.

I played Watch Dogs some today, some bugs, nothing too serious, froze me on a black screen for a minute or so. Beyond that, nothing really ruining the game for me.

Bf3 is currently free through origin until June 3! Even if you don't have a good pc, you should at least go claim it in case you get a good one in the future!

I ended up finally picking up BF3. (Was worried about Origin not being kind to me due to being 17, which I had a problem with before. >.<)

Having fun with it.

I don't think any "next gen" game has made me want a new console more than Mario Kart 8. Has anyone played it?

I've got it. It's a really good game. Kinda like the Wii version in that you can choose a kart or a bike, and however you make the vehicle determines how it handles. 16 new tracks and 16 remakes of old ones. Has the 7 Koopa kids as playable characters. But the graphics on this game are pretty stunning to be honest. I've gotten caught staring at the scenery a few times and drifting off course because of it haha. If you play online, that runs very smooth, and it's loads of fun having 12 real people in one race. Sometimes it's chaotic with that many lol, but you've still got your classic 4 player split screen too. I bought the Wii U Pro controller for this game, and it feels really good. This game should keep me satisfied until Smash Bros comes out, and I always end up getting the newest Nintendo machine for Zelda games.

My Wii U is expected to arrive on Monday. Mario Kart 8 was the biggest reason for me picking up a Wii U. Mario Kart 8 will be the first Nintendo game I play in HD. Should be awesome. Anyways, I also ordered 6 other Wii U games as well and don't forget you also get to choose a free game by registering MK 8 on Club Nintendo by July 31.

^I think so but I'm not sure. I don't have one.

Glad to hear the graphics are as good in play as they look in video! It's honestly one of the most beautiful games I've ever seen. Definitely seems like the prettiest next gen game so far. The sheer graphics might not be the best from the Wii U but the artistry and design are miles ahead of the standard dirt realistic norms of most other games.

You can play Wii games on the Wii U from what I remember. I haven't actually tried it yet though. If you pick one up, Nick, Super Mario 3D World is fun too.
