Veridia-We Are The Brave

One of the bands we play at the station, saw them at Winter Jam earlier this year and was blown away. They are a newish female-led rock band, and this girl can sing, very nice as well, had the chance to interview her a couple months back. Excited to hear more from them in the future

I remember seeing them at Winter Jam too. We were all waiting in line, and they came out and played a few songs acoustically by the entrance gate while we were waiting to get in. I thought that was pretty cool.

But On a less insulting note to singers; I pretty much have to have a special connection in terms of their voice with the singers to like them. There has to be something about their voice that is pleasing enough for me to get into them. That's why with female singers it's so hard for me to find the right balance of great vocals plus great music. So far only Veridia, Evanescence, Within Temptation, and Halestorm have been able to do that. I could try Flyleaf and Lacuna Coil again just to see but I don't know.

I've been listening to World Music since the start of this year. I kinda found my three main genre influences and those are Reggae, World Music, and Rock (of course).

The bands I listen to (that are World Music in sound) are Kadangyan, Pinikpikan, Talahib People's Music and Kalayo. All of them are bands here in the Philippines.
