:lol it probably would be if we were more dedicated there, but I think we're all used to the boards. IDK how people would find it though unless we constantly promoted it on FB. But then everyone's already on FB so...

If I don't get an error message after posting and have to refresh to make sure the post went through, it's not TABN to me.

Just bought tickets to see both Tremonti and Myles's respective solo efforts. It's the deconstructed Alter Bridge experience.

If you play Tremonti in one ear and Myles in the other, do you hear Alter Bridge?

No US tour for Tremonti? Have you managed to catch a show by them before?

Yeah, I am still waiting for them to announce North American dates. The only time that I have seen them was at Louder Than Life in 2021, and that was when I barely knew any of their music.

Alex (ABW1987) has been kind enough to pay for a majority of it the past few years along with a few other mods. Was hoping we might be able to take some of the weight off of Alex this year and get some contributions from board members. Not required, any little bit helps, give what you feel! Alex has a PayPal account for TABN set up under thealterbridgenation@gmail.com, if you'd like to donate, please send a PayPal payment there. If you don't have PayPal and would like to use another method, send me a PM and we'll work something out. Thanks!
When is the hosting due to be paid? And how much has been raised so far?

Alex has already paid it so it's reimbursing him at this point. The total was $287 USD, I contributed $75, IDK if anyone else has contributed at this point. In the event more money was raised than the total, we'd just roll it over toward next year's payment. Thanks!

Up The Irons for 48 years

Post by gbruin »

I was on the rail to see Iron Maiden last Sat night. I've seen them probably ~20 times and they are as good as ever. It's pretty amazing that they still play their catalog in the original tunings and play the same solos in their mid 60's+. I think only Nikko changed one drum part a little bit but he had a stroke a year or so back so I get that. They played a bunch from their most recent album Senjutsu and a bunch from Somewhere In Time including Stranger In A Strange Land and Alexander the Great, a couple I've never seen live before, and they still have the same great stage show that is always a bit intentionally cartoonish and classic without being cheesy. What a night, what a band.

Oh, and the opener was The Hu. RI must admit I wasn't up on my Mongolian lyrics, but that was a really entertain show too.

Finally, RIP to Paul Di'Anno. Thanks for helping kick off the greatest legacy in metal ever.
