Wow, that's a bit of a dickish move by the NFL.
According to the latest Wall Street Journal report, NFL has narrowed down a list of potential artists to perform at Super Bowl 2015 half-time show, but there's a catch - they want money for it.

"In a twist this year, the league has asked artists under consideration for the high-profile gig to pay to play," the report reads, revealing Katy Perry, Rihanna, and Coldplay as top contesters for the headlining spot.

NFL representatives have reportedly "asked at least some of the acts if they would be willing to contribute a portion of their post-Super Bowl tour income to the league, or if they would make some other type of financial contribution, in exchange for the halftime gig."

The article also claims that each of the three mentioned performers gave cold replies when approached with the "pay-to-play" idea.

Earlier this month, a highly-successful petition was launched demanding that Weird Al Yankovic gets to rock the Super Bowl crowd. But with the latest update, an additional crowdfunder might be required.

Isn't the NFL already making endless trunks of money anyway for this event? Now they want acts to pay them to play there? Besides, those acts that get booked to play at the Super Bowl is already clearing, at least, arenas. Playing at the halftime show isn't really make or break to those acts.

The artist won't benefit from paying to play on that stage. If they were big enough to even get invited, everyone knows who they are. They don't need the extra exposure from the game imo.

But from that list I'd vote Katy Perry :D

From that list I'd vote for refill at kegerator, extended bathroom break, rerefill at kegerator, brief visit with family, chase dog around table a few times (she loves that), rererefill at kegerator, graze on remaining appetizers around kitchen, repeat bathroom break just to be cleared for second half, step outdoors for fresh air for a minute, do good luck Broncos second half chant, top off at kegerator if necessary, and return to TV when horrible halftime show is certain to be completed.

That would be a very twisted parody band. I wonder how it would go?

Stuck in a griddle, I am sunny side, I am an embryo. I am yellow, surrounded by whi-ite, full of cholesterol. My flavors are bland, not much to excite, it's not my fault! Get some condiments, pour em on tight, pass the salt.

Very good thanks! Didn't do too much that's noteworthy, but my family is fun and got to hang out with them a lot which was great!
