College kids?
Re: College kids?
Up there on about the 13th September, real stuff starts 23rd. Not even slightly prepared yet.
For all of the hope that it brings...
Re: College kids?
I go back up the 28th of this month. I have to prepare my first apartment and then classes start a few days after.

Re: College kids?
Hey, has anyone here applied to grad school before? What's that process like?

Re: College kids?
I haven't done it, but I think you have to take a GMAT exam to get into certain programs. Not too sure what all the process entails.

Re: College kids?
It all depends on what type of grad school you want to get into, you gotta take certain tests and have certain hours of experience and then give them allll your monies!
Re: College kids?
I'm doing a postgrad but it's probably a fair bit different over here. Just apply and get references basically.

I'm setting up an appointment with my campus' career center because I have... no idea what I'm doing. I want to do a publishing program and I've looked up a few of them but I don't really know where to begin other than that. I know there are some tests I'll need to take and whatnot. I guess I'll find out. I was just wondering.

Neat! Good luck with all that, hope you get it figured out alright!
Re: College kids?
Which type of grad school? Assuming you mean M.A., M.S., or Ph.D. rather than professional programs, it's a matter of finding a good program in a very specific field of interest (more specific than undergraduate majors) and an advisor who's a good match for you in terms of interests and personalities And ideally, fellowship or at least teaching/research assistant support. That's all pretty general. Most of those type of programs you have to take the general GRE and maybe a subject matter test.Nick wrote:Hey, has anyone here applied to grad school before?
