That's a really good and pro sounding song, Max! Very blink-esque and with a tasty solo. Great work :rockon

Thanks for all the compliments on the song! I might be biased because I got the approval of the subject of the song, but I haven't felt this proud of a song I've written since Still Friends about 2 1/2 years ago. My friends that I've shown it to all like it. Hell, even Kelly's boyfriend likes it.

And of course, Kelly loves it. She says she's listened to it over ten times already. I'm so glad. Her reaction to the "pretty eyes" line when we listened to it together was priceless. It's her favorite line, and because of that, it's now my favorite line as well.

As of this minute, I can now confirm that two decades is indeed a long time.

I assume this means I should wish you a happy birthday! And yet 20 seems shorter and shorter as you get older. It's almost 20 years that I've been into Alter Bridge.

Yes! Thanks! I turned 20 on Tuesday. It feels different not being a teenager anymore.

You must have gotten into them as soon as they started, because they don't turn 20 until January 2.

On an unrelated note, did you get a chance to listen to Feeling These Feelings yet? I know you've usually given detailed reviews of my songs when I post them.

Unfortunately I think it's destined to be dead 90% of the time unless there's a new album release from Alter Bridge, Myles solo, Mark solo, or Creed. Thats the only time now people show up to give their two cents :/

Dammit, Micky!

Too much Facebook, Twitter/X, Instagram, TikTok, SnapChat, Reddit, and other places for people to congregate too. Two cents doesn't stretch very far anymore. Stupid (social media) inflation.

Good thing I got off of all of those within the last four months.

Social media kinda killed forums off, which is sad because forums have a nicely organized way of having threads devoted to certain topics. I guess Reddit comes close, but threads there don't stay nicely cataloged like they do here.

On the plus side, we can have a nice, smaller, close-knit community here that feels a bit more like the good ol days of ODR/BB.
