Re: College kids?
Little known admissions secret - your discipline record weighs more than your GPA. If you've ever been suspended for fighting, good luck.
Take the AP tests seriously. I passed the History, Calculus and Literature exams. It's also a great experience to be a semester ahead of everyone as well.
There's also, which most students are not aware of, CLEP testing. No AP or special classes required. It's a test that allows you to skip Intro level courses. Great for American History and Psychology - those are REALLY annoying Intro classes in college.
Bad ACT scores will stop you from getting into top tier schools. Check with the schools you're applying to.

A.P. Psychology and A.P. Gov/A.P. Economics
Those tests should be fun.
I guess I'll be using you for advice come April.

Re: College kids?
Discipline counts? I have multiple suspensions for both fighting and using a lighter on an axe can in class... but fantastic grades and a rising 3.5+ GPA. Where the hell are you from?

Schools aren't just looking for smart kids. They are looking for kids with good character. Students that they can mold into productive and intelligent citizens. Discipline is a great way to gauge the character of a student. But also your teachers and guidance counselors have been building a profile for you as well secretly.

My teachers love me enough to the point where they actually send postcards home on holidays. Especially my history teacher... Man, she adored me. I suppose that's my way out of this.

Hey, I didn't perform the act. I supplied the lighter unknowingly.
