Usually then = time, than = comparison.

I like listening to jazz now and then. I walked the dogs and then went to the grocery store.

Usually, I like rock better than jazz.

Then is used to describe chronological order so your second sentence makes no sense

so what if i said.

i sing better, than you

i sing better, then you.

i realize the sentence itself is shitty, but is that the chronological order type of thing youre talking about?

The comma makes no sense in the first one it's a single thought. The second sentence makes no sense because youre not saying who/what you sing better than and there's no preceding event to say "...then you" which even then would make no sense because "you" needs an action. What it boils down to is time. If time is involved, use then.

"I went to the mall, then I went home"
"I got a haircut, then bought a tie"
"My haircut is better thAn your haircut"

I sang better than AB23.

Then AB23 took some singing lessons.

He then sang better than me.

Holy shit you seriously struggle with then and than? I honestly don't understand that. Even when I was 5 years old the difference between them was blatantly obvious. Fuck.
