Man City really are a mystery at the moment. They're so poor away from home but so bloody good... at home. Tottenham have been awful today though.

I wish. On their day they can be quite a tricky team to play against... and I'm dreading the day when all their new signings bed in completely as they've got a couple of nifty players in Lamela and Eriksen.

They are definitely missing him, for sure. I think they would have finished somewhere around mid-table had they not had him last year.

There are so many different leagues, so many grand players, but for the last several years I understood that I was only following my own club, Zenit St Pete. I go to the stadium each home game and have been supporting them for nearly 18 years. Yea, I am pretty late with my footy addiction. I only started playing when I was 12 and tracing the world of football at the age of 13 or smth..

I have a friend who usually goes like "Did you see that goal scored by Nwankwo Abedoobiescoobydsgkjhsdg in the third Zimbabwe division?"

I am not that much into other teams. I really hardly support my national team. They brought my interest back in 2008 after the victory over the Dutch (whom I also do enjoy), but then it was over pretty quickly again.

Today's the day we are hosting Atletico and it seems like the last chance for us to be through to the playoffs.

Vinny Jones wasn't tough, he was just your run-of-the-mill scumbag.

Agreed. This post is rather harsh.

Tottenham have sacked AVB. Have to admit hadn't expected that.

That's an under-statement, for me. I never wish ill on people but I struggle not to... when it comes to people like that.

Quite surprised too. I was thrilled with the victory last night (no surprise there, being a Liverpool fan) but despite that loss Tottenham are only six points behind Liverpool in second place and there's still 22 games left to play this season. I mean, they're two points ahead of Man Utd...

Twitter was a terrible invention primarily because it's so easy to read those kind of things about pretty much anything. Nasty people with terrible senses of humour abound.

In fairness, we've been atrocious so that's not too great an achievement. Still a silly sacking though.

FIFA have announced today that the 2022 World Cup in Quatar will not be held in the Summer and will be moved to the Winter and will probably be held November/December or December/January.

I can't say I like this announcement at all.

What's to dislike about it? We're spectators, not the professional footballers who will have to take part in it. Seriously, how would it negatively impact you? :P

The main annoying thing is that it was so blatantly given to Qatar for the backhanders involved. If we had a winter break (as we should) anyway it wouldn't be so troubling, but just doing for one season is weird.
