Qué tonto soy yo. Pues...hasta el diciembre entonces.

So S4 of Money Heist came out and I sucked it up and binged all 5 episodes in one night and tolerated the ridiculous twists and scientific impossibilities and inaccuracies and the unlimited ammo/weapon reserves and a million bullets flying with scarcely any injuries and the unfortunate decreased focus on hot Spanish women just to get to the end and reach some closure...

and it wasn't the end. Season 5, part 2 coming in December. FML

Watched Part 5 of La Casa De Papel recently.

Despite some of the scenes, I loved every second of it, well worth the waiting hype and "You think this person can't die? think again" ending.

Cannot wait for the second volume of it.

Adiós, mi querida

La Casa de Papel is called Money Heist here is the US, so we are talking about the same show. I stand by my frustrations with it all, but that closing scene was pretty damn heartbreaking.

Started watching Squid Game the other day. Only watched like 2 episodes so far but it seems like an interesting show.

Just finished Killing Eve seasons 1 - 3. I like it and don't like it in equal measure. Amazing acting and an interesting exploration of the fascination we have with our darker urges. However, the music is always so annoyingly in-your-face and the stylistic choices are always so loud it can be distracting.

I am reliving last weekend! Someone posted this amazing video of “Disturbed”! It almost catches the audience energy but I was up front and it is so much more intense and amazingly unforgettable than the video shows. I loved every second! Didn’t know I was bruised up til the next day! Incredible, priceless experience!

Just watched the first episode of Squid Games. Wtf. Why do people enjoy this? I know I’m only one episode in but what was the appeal to keep watching? Genuinely curious.

What is it about the show/the first episode that makes you have these questions? :lol Maybe it was the advertised premise/twist on a survival drama by having adult contestants compete in generally children-era games or for survival and money that intrigued me, idk :lol That premise sounded pretty unique to me and not many other shows if any, that I've ever watched had a similar one so it was refreshing in some way :lol Came for the plot, stayed for the contestants to see how long they'd last :lol

SPOILERS for EP 1:

I don't see the entertainment value in A) watching a gambling addict's life fall apart so fast that he B) sells himself for physical abuse that then turns into C) a 5 minute slow-mo sequence of people getting shot who are supposedly just as desperate as the protagonist (After minute two of the first game and people getting shot, the point was made and then needlessly dragged out IMO). It seems like The Hunger Games with more gore but smaller victory. (One human life gets to go back to normal in Squid Games vs thousands getting a better life in The Hunger Games) It's just disturbing in my opinion, especially given how depressing and sad the past year and a half has been.
