Lotha was from Belgrade and was a legend here for years. Not sure why she moved on but she was super cool. I will be forever grateful to her for talking up Kamelot, so I finally checked them out and they are one of my very favorite bands now.

I think I was 16 when I joined the OG TABN. 2010ish maybe? Something like that. Alter Bridge was the first band I kinda discovered on my own. Everything else i listened to at the time I'd either heard from my parents or friends, but I found Words Darker Than Their Wings as a free MP3 download on Amazon Music (pre-prime music) and fell in love. I think they were doing it as a promotional thing for ABIII which had just come out. My dad was a big fan of Creed so once I looked into the band a little more, that was a really cool connection we made.

All these years later, I would still probably consider them my favorite band, even named my son Myles Scott, and if I ever have another, he'll be Mark Brian. Can't believe I still havent seen them live, but none of my local friends are really into them like me and I hate going to concerts solo. Maybe my son will wind up liking them as much as me and we can go together when he's older
