There are two ponnies in front of my house (on the other side of the street). It's impossible not to see them when I'm sitting behind my desk. A minute ago they were scratching each others asses with their heads (at the same time) and now they're rolling on their backs, looking absolutely ridiculous.

I can't study this way..

Oh, and patience doesn't always pay off.. It kinda depends on the situation and the person of course, but most girls I've met loose interest really fast if you just sit around and "be a friend".

I haven't had experience with anything so drastic, but I've had a guy stalk me, basically. We had a couple of mutual friends, talked a few times, he was nice to me, I was nice in return, but then it started getting creepy, him constantly trying to force gifts on me, go out with me, whenever I was online anywhere he would talk to me, like, "whatcha thinking about?" every five minutes, carrying pictures of me around...
When I confronted him about his "feelings", I just kinda basically said I didn't like him back, he was like "you love me, you just don't know it yet!"
That was probably the best line I've ever heard in my entire life lol

Now seriously, by being persistent, I meant, wait a bit and don't rush things, and you don't have to go straight for sex if she does like you... and don't make advances if the girl lets you know she's not interested.
And don't just "sit there and be a friend", it's like Andy said, you have to show a little extra effort, flirt a bit, see if she likes you back...

@Cat: It was creepy at times, yeah, I had been looking over my shoulder expecting to see him following me or something... but I laugh about it today. Because the guy really was a total pussy. He backed off after I took steps to ensure it.
