Tonight on Wheel of Fortune the category was Food, and I solved the puzzle answer of Snickerdoodles when the only letter on the screen was N. That's my crowning achievement for 2018 and it probably won't be topped.

I’m impressed. Maybe concerned too. Who thinks of snickerdoodles in the food category? Although, I’m struggling to think of other foods where the second letter is “n”. Maybe this wasn’t that impressive...

Given that it was one, long word and the second letter was N, I'm not sure of much else that could fit. Still don't know why I saw it so fast...

Well, just finished inputting my information for filing taxes. At first, after computing the amount of money I made as a Temp, it stated that I was getting $1,000.00 back. I'm like, "Sweet, I can use that money for a new computer." Then, I had to input the money I made when I was hired in the company where I worked as a temp, and since that put me in a different taxable income bracket, that return amount went down to $700.00. I'm like, "All right, I can still probably buy a new computer with that. Then, it turns out that when I was working as a temp, they did not provide health coverage, and I was only covered for one month at my full time job. Sadly, the IRS requires us to have health coverage through an employer or other outlets, throughout the year, and since I did not have it in 2017, that costs me $630.00 out of my return. Fudge, man. I'm only getting $70.00 back. I guess I can have a fancy dinner with that.

So just to clarify for the future, if I signed up for benefits with my company back in December, I will not have this issue and have to pay this fee again, right? Since, that money is already coming out of my paycheck?

Yeah as long as you have health insurance through your job now, you'll be fine for next year. Basically, if you were working more than around 28 hours a week when you were a temp, the company should have been offering you health insurance (if you're classified as part time, they don't have to offer it). Not sure how many hours a week you worked as a temp, but if you were working full time hours and you didn't have health insurance, the government could make you pay a fine (which is bogus, but I won't get into that here).

I think I've heard that the fine was being done away with next year, but regardless, if you have health insurance through your current job, you won't have to worry about losing that much money on your return next year due to health insurance.

I watched it. I probably missed some commercials and dozed off like I normally would at this time before the 2nd quarter end. It had good suspense which is all I ask for in a football game. I also watched the JT halftime show. It was all right. It's what I expected. A long medley of his big hits, some very big-time choreographic routines, and a tribute to Prince. Nothing too mind-blowing, but it was better than what the NFL could have brought.

That doesn't make sense to me. But then again, you are very small.
