After a lot of thinking, I have concluded that my original music is the most similar to these 12 bands.

1. Volbeat
2. Alter Bridge
3. Halestorm
4. Tremonti
5. Plush
6. Mammoth WVH
7. Paralandra
8. Sum 41
9. All Time Low
10. Mason Hill
11. The Warning
12. blink-182

What demographics should I be pitching my music to?

From that list, millennials. Fans of those bands, basically. Your lyrics are very much in the vein of a younger audience though.

For those of you that follow my social media, you probably already know this. However, I feel that it is time that I made this announcement.

Tomorrow, I am finally releasing my first original song to all streaming services.

It is called "Born To Run", and you can find it under my name (Max Zubic). I came up with the idea for it way back in 2018, but I revived it in early 2023 and recorded a demo of it. Very early this year, I recorded the final studio version of it. I had it produced by none other than TABN's very own, Crumbso!

Anyway, I would really appreciate it if you all gave it a listen, shared it with your friends, and added it to your playlists. I hope that you all enjoy it!

Ah sweet. Hope you can get some attention for it. This was my favourite of your songs, they're all good stuff though.

Nice work, Max and Crumbs! After my first listen my notes are:

Excellent clarity across the vocals, drums, and guitars. I especially like the whoa-ah-oh portions and the last 30 seconds or so of the outro. My only constructive comment is that your singing In the verses can come off a little like recitation. What I mean is, it's like you are reading from an open book. I like the lyrics but perhaps work on your singing inflection and give some room/space to hold out some words or phrases longer. Push the variation in your high and low points - emphasize vowels or consonants. Otherwise it can come across as monotonous.

I will add it to my YouTube music playlist for 2024.

I love it! Great Job!
It certainly hits home for me as I have recently started to take the sport of running very seriously.

Three years ago today, I played my first paid show ever. Three years later, I have released an original song to streaming services. I never thought that I would come this far.

When I came up with the title back in 2018, I was not aware that Bruce Springsteen had a song of the same name.

I have good news and bad news.

The good news is that I just bought tickets to see Daughtry in Waukesha, Wisconsin in July. I am going with Dylan and his girlfriend, making this my first concert that I go to without at least one of my parents.

The bad news is that I missed out on the chance to see them earlier this month. They were opening for Breaking Benjamin in Madison, and I got tickets for it for myself and Kelly. Well, a couple days before the show, the weather forecast said that there was going to be 4.5 inches of snow in the Madison area that day, and I did not want to risk driving for an hour and a half through that, so I sold the tickets.

This is where the problems came in. The two tickets cost a total of $236.60, and Ticketmaster only reimbursed me $66.84. Therefore, I ended up losing $169.76 that I will never get back. What is even worse is that I feel like it is only fair that I split the loss equally with the person that I bought one of the tickets for, but getting that $84.88 that I am owed will be an uphill battle because Kelly and I are not friends anymore and are not even on speaking terms with each other.

To be continued....

I'm sorry to hear about that, Max. Weather can complicate things but I'm glad you made the decision to stay safe. There are some expensive lessons in life. I've never resold tickets but made a bad decision when I was younger (22 years old) to purchase a car that I had no business buying. I ended up backing out of the deal (very embarrassing and I had to involve my father) and forfeiting my $2500.00 deposit. In your situation I would ask, did you purchase the ticket for Kelly as a gift or was the plan for her to reimburse you? I'm sad to hear that you are no longer friends, but I think if that is the case you may want to cut your losses rather than further "fueling the fire" by seeking repayment. Just my opinion...do with it what you will.

She was supposed to pay me for her ticket ($118.30). However, had we not agreed to go together, I would have not bought two tickets. I will explain later why she and I had to end our friendship, but not right now as I have an exam tomorrow that I need to study for.

Since Kelly has asked me to keep some things secret between us, and since I do not want to portray her as a bad person when she really is good at heart and always had well intentions with our friendship, I cannot share much about why we chose to end it. All that I can say is that when she broke up with Mason three months ago, she told all of her friends that she would go completely dark for a while to focus on her academics, but she did not tell anyone why. This made me extremely worried about her, and it led to me having anxiety attacks because I was so concerned for her well-being and because I felt like our friendship was threatened. This was extremely unhealthy, and even though we tried to talk about our issues after a while, it did not end well. The last conversation that we had at lunch at Bridgeway at the beginning of March, where I finally found out why she broke up with Mason, was the hardest conversation of my life. I really miss her, I am devastated to know about the struggles that she has been facing, and I deeply regret contributing to them.

Well, I think it's good that you are respecting her wishes to keep things private. This seems like a very sad and disappointing situation for you. Hope things get better for you soon!
