Re: His new Corvette is a minivan
Ryan is one of our fearless mods here and an all around outstanding dude - and a huge Chevy aficionado. He sadly "upgraded" his beloved Camaro recently for a more family friendly ride, but I believe he still has his dad's Corvette. I can't see a Vette (or a Camaro) without thinking of Ryan.MaraCarr wrote: ↑Wed May 19, 2021 1:13 amWho is Ryan? And what is trolling? ( I will google it since I finally learned how to use the internet.) (I admit I was a little slow ...but it did help me realize other powerful things)
I used to have a minivan ... I loved it!... But Greg... I’m done with the minivan! They are incredible for family life... but I’m an empty nester I’m coming to terms with that.. I’m divorced... my children are grown and I’m no longer engaged... I’ve come to a decision... I love the sound of the corvette engine it’s like music and the interior is so classy... not to mention the beautiful exterior. And the potential for a few side hustle incomes. I’m buying myself a corvette!
I’m buying the Vette. I’m thankful!
What are your thoughts my friend... about the C8?
And now I'll think of you in that Vette, too. Do it. You deserve it.

Re: The New Corvette
I have to add this for every one with a minivan. So.. here it comes!
I’ve been wanting the new C8... I’ve been so obsessed that I’ve had to delete my posts and add(...) just to gain some self control. I’m in total “LUST” .. I’m sorry... ( I’m just being honest)...with this car! The only car for me. It’s so amazing! I’m going to work double shifts!
Anyway as most here know. I’ve been training an incredible Nurse from South Africa.Intelligent and Compassionate! Love him...
So As part of training we went to Busch Gardens to ride the scariest... fastest coasters. On the way back.. we had the Optima running as fast as the coasters... engine blew up on I75. Left us walking... then we wound up at Buffalo Wild Wings... after a nice lady picked us up.
My car is broke down in Wesley Chapel Florida. It’s dead. It’s not going anywhere.
Anyway there is a point to my story. He just so happened to have an extra (van) he wanted to sell. Yes.. I bought it! I forgot how fabulous vans are. This one has a DVD player... push button doors! The kayak and mountain bike...fit perfectly.
I’m still lusting after the Corvette... soon.. soon! Life is awesome! I love my job! My trainee is amazing! I’m so proud!

Vettes. Vans, and Wings: One Nurse's Journey Through Life
This saga of yours so far would make a good book.

Re: The New Corvette
I've had a few people tell me this. I haven't shared but 1/4th of my Saga. Yes it would make a good supernatural thriller...I promise.
My trainee has lived through pure hell himself...I'm so blessed to be his teacher. He is an outstanding human!
Are you going to Kentucky for the Louder than Life concert?

Re: The New Corvette
My wife and I have two kids, and her sisters also each have two kids. All of us and my wife's parents have a Toyota Sienna, each a different color (gold, dark gray, maroon and black) and with model years stretching back 10 years or so. They're extremely functional vehicles. They have those push button doors on both sides and the rear seats just fold down flat and disappear into the floor with a quick pull of a lever. If they could manage to make the middle seats do that as well it would be the most functional vehicle on the planet.
Funny story... just this weekend my 3 year old kicked his shoes off on the way home (he always does this), but when I opened the door I only saw one shoe and two socks. After a casual search didn't turn up the missing show, I tore the care apart looking for that shoe. I had all 5 doors open and took every little thing out except the seats themselves. My mother-in-law swore he had both shoes on when she put him in the car. Eventually I gave up and closed each door in turn and last of all got to the sliding door across from where my son sits. I looked across and saw the shoe sitting in the pocket of the sliding door! The pockets are completely inaccessible and invisible while the door is open so that's the only place I didn't think to check. If I had closed my daughter's door first, I'd probably still be missing that shoe!
