Gotta say I am really pleasantly surprised by how good the new 'tallica songs are. Death Magnetic was a huge let down for me, but this one is shaping up quite nicely. Moth into Flame is the best so far.

Hardwired didn't catch me straight away, but I am loving it now. Something about Atlas a LOT are saying though I simply do not hear. People are claiming it is an Iron Maiden rip off. I just do not hear it at all. Plus, why would Metallica need to rip off Maiden? They have already out sold them across the board, no point left to prove.

All three of the Metallica singles were promising I think. If the record holds up the average level of quality those three songs have, for me, it might end up being their best since TBA.

It's not a rip-off.. Just kinda sounds inspired in the bridge. That part of the song is the best part of the song in my opinion anyway, so I'm not sure why people are bringing it up so much in a negative way.

Exactly. Inspiration =/= rip off.

To me, they actually struck a good balance on that track of wearing their influences on their sleeve while still being original.

Not allowed to be influenced these days. Everyone is a ripping off someone, apparently.
I just do not hear it on Atlas at all. They have written choruses like that before, like Escape for example. It's not like they pulled an AX7 and straight up stole their fave riffs or anything. And yeah, agreed on the order Moth > Atlas > Hardwired.

I don't think I should qualify this as an actual album released in 2016, since this is probably a remastered edition of something that they did in the past, and this is probably a Christmas covers album, but I like Christmas music, sometimes, and if you bring heavy guitars to this, that just sweetens the pot. So I'm listening to this.
