The transition to the keyboard solo at 2:53 is just sublime.

I thought they were the band Ankor the first time I heard them. Awesome new album - Transience - came out yesterday.

Paralandra's new album The Body Electric. Currently on the first track "Look At Me Now".

EDIT: It is a decent album. There is a lot of Alter Bridge and Halestorm influences. What I don't like is that some of the melodies sound quite eerie and dissonant, and that some of the choruses don't stray away from the root note.

Standout tracks: Dirty Love, Give Me A Reason, Love Of My Life, Resurrexit

I think it's very solid - 7.5-8/10 (I've listened to it completely 5 times since it came out yesterday). The drums are gloriously punchy. Definite AB influences - "The Only One" is like a sibling of "Cry of Achilles" and "Love Of My Life" reminds me of "All Ends Well". I don't have time to do a complete review but my standouts are similar to yours - "Dirty Love", "Give Me A Reason" (the back instrumental quarter of that song is probably my favorite part of the entire album), "Faith Hope Love", and "Resurrexit" - or Paralandra's version of "Back From The Dead" ;)

I would actually pay $ to see them play live but sadly there are no upcoming shows close to me.

The guitars in this would have made an awesome Trivium song (Matt and Corey are the guitarists on this track)

I cannot imagine listening to an album five times in one day.

Oh, no you don't. Halestorm's "Back From The Dead" will always reign supreme.

I spread it out! 3 times on album release day and 2 the next! :lol

I didn't say it was better or worse. It was simply an observation that they actually use "back from the dead" in the lyrics/chorus! :D

It took about 15 seconds to love the new NM song. What a follow up to the first single, If It Doesn't Hurt. Those guys never disappoint.

New album in June!!!

I've been listening to a lot of Ad Infinitum lately as they will be opening for Kamelot on their upcoming tour, and damn I wish I'd been listening to this band from the start. Fantastic music (much of which sounds a lot like Walk the Sky-style AB), melodies, and songwriting. Adrian Thessenvitz is playing an 8 string and rips. Melissa Bonny was Kamelot's guest female singer on their last tour and she was great in that role, but she's really strong as a lead singer. She has a gorgeous voice and great gutturals, and she is also just achingly beautiful. What a great band.

:yeahthat I do love her gutturals. She should use them more often.

Another one of my favorite A7x tracks. The solos on this one :cloud9

Shinedown - Evolve.

First off, I want to say something. I was wrong in my original evaluation of Attention Attention. It took 6 years later, and going through certain rough patches of life, from a mental standpoint, but after relistening to some of those songs from that album, these songs are enjoyable and relatable for me now than when the album was released. Also, I'm enjoying Shinedown as a band more than I have in like 8 years. Songs from the last two albums have been enjoyable to relisten to.

Megadeth's 2004 remix of their Rust In Peace album. Never really was big into Megadeth before but something about this albums riffs and solos are really grabbing me right now. My only complaint is that "Rust In Peace...Polaris" doesnt have an amazing solo like most of the other songs.

It's an all time classic album. I love it. There are so many great solos on the album as a whole that I don't really miss one on the title track.

People bitch up and down about the 2004 remaster but I actually like it. The bass is much more powerful and the cymbals don't dominate the high end quite so much as the original.#
