Freaking epic outro on this one.
The whole album dropped and it's called Charismatic Leaders. If you're a fan of Tool knock-off bands like Soen, Rishloo or Lucid Planet it might be right up your alley.
I like this band. I checked out their album and after the first listen I was impressed. Not to the level of Caligula's Horse or Artificial Language but I enjoyed it. Thanks for the recommendation!

These two bands never fail to impress me with their live shows. Mammoth WVH was down a member and still did not lose any of their sound. Plush is only getting better and better as they continue their headlining run.

After going through the Megadeth discography, I've been listening to the Metallica discography the past couple days. The only records I have left to check out are Kill Em All and Load. I would say my least favorite record so far is St. Anger but I dont know if I have a clear favorite yet.

St Anger is very different from the other albums. I can remember when it first came out. I listened to it over and over again. One thing I discovered with that album is when I took the time to listen to the entire album from start to finish as loud as I could stand it, at the end there was an overwhelming feeling of peace that I felt once everything became quiet. It was very healing. Love those guys so much.

One of the videos takes place in a prison. I had a dear friend in Draper in SLC. It sux to go see people you care about in those kind of conditions, its very unsettling just to visit them, you have to go through so much just to get in there. It is especially sad when they are so remorseful of the poor choice they made that landed them there. Anyway. That album resonates on that level. It's amazing. :rockon

Make sure to include S&M. Despite being a live album, I think that it is their best album.

So this is pretty amazing

Eruption - Nina Digregorio (note this awesome last name, too ;) )

In the description she explains she had to create a new violin and learn some new techniques just to play this song, so she did. It's a super cool read. Muscians really have amazing minds. She has a bunch of great guitar solo covers, and she is currently touring with a group of musicians called Femmes of Rock. Might be worth checking out!
Another photobucket casualty... :(

Song and Album of The Year Contender

Post by Schulzy »

Return To Dust. They recently released their album and it is a strong contender for my Album of The Year. I was never a big Nirvana or Alice in Chains fan but I really like this band. The two singers blend really well. I love this song which was the first one I heard from them.

and this one has been stuck in my head all day. I was singing it while walking out of my apartment and my neighbor turned around and went..."What is that?"

new Unleash The Archers album that came out tonight. Honestly pretty underwhelmed by it. No tracks really grabbed me like they did on Apex and Abyss. Not sure if I'll listen to it beyond tonight, which is sad to say because Apex and Abyss were great albums.

Been listening to the Mastodon discography the last couple days. I find it kind of funny how the latest 3 bands I've decided to check out all start with the letter M and are one word. :lol

Just like I always do before concerts, I am binging the two bands that I am seeing live on Saturday. My friends in S0LAR, and my favorite ladies in Plush.

The painful art of letting go-Cavo

Truly a great album. They are known for the song "Champagne".

Dream Theater - Pull Me Under

Been making my way through the entire DT discography and so far I've listened to Train of Thought, and then the stretch of albums from Systematic Chaos to A View From the Top of the World. Just started Images and Words.

love John Petrucci's guitar playing.
