Disturbed - Inside The Fire

Recently rediscovered my love for Disturbed (well, tbh mostly just the Ten Thousand Fists to Immortalized era) So I've been on a bit of a binge with their music and remembering how much an awesome guitar player Dan is! :rockon His riffs and solos are some of the only few that rival Mark for me :eek Ironically having just said that, I was never really a huge fan of The Sickness, Believe, or Evolution and I'm not sure why those albums dont do it for me as much as the others :shrug :lol

Ehhh, I think you are pretty much on the right train of things regarding Disturbed. I really enjoyed Ten Thousand Fists and surprisingly, Asylum out of the bunch. All of their other albums have some decent gems outside of the most well-known singles (which still varies from ok to great).

I've never been a huge VH fan, mainly due to Roth's vocals not doing it for me, but I respect Eddie's contributions to music immensely, that being said, Right Now is a work of art and is easily one of Van Halen's masterpiece compositions which any band would be lucky to have written. An amazing song which hits hard on the best of days and now it is a full blown gut punch.

The Division Bell Pink Floyd. My knowledge of this band is very limited outside of the obvious songs, but I really love this album. Its beautiful. Take it Back, Keep Talking and Lost for Words are songs that have essentially improved my quality of life by discovering them.

Lifehouse have some good songs.

----Does anyone here listen to Bob Dylan? In the past, I wasnt super fond of his singing voice, but people consider him one of the best songwriters of all time.

I gotta admit, he defeintely has some good songs and some good lyrics.

"Masters of War" and "Mr Tambourine Man" are great songs.

What do you think makes someone a great writer?
Idk

Mostly playing the new Armored Saint album, Punching The Sky, on repeat. They are such a great band and this is probably (to me) their second or third best all around album in their long history (Symbol of Salvation is maybe a top 5 metal album ever for me). Such good classic metal, and singer John Bush sounds as good now as ever.

Black Stone Cherry's The Human Condition album.

For some reason, I got this feeling that this is going to be one of their better efforts. Not necessarily topping Kentucky or Folklore and Superstition, but I think I'm going to enjoy it better than their other albums.

Here In The Dark - Brand new single by TABN's own Jon Goodhue off his forthcoming album In The Ashes. It's a fucking beautiful mellow rocker and has kind of a Shinedown/Journey melodic vibe with heavy Alice In Chains-ish bottom end to it. It actually reminds a fair bit of Tremonti's I'll Take You With Me with at an easier tempo.

Lyric video here: https://www.facebook.com/jonathangoodhu ... 3500573847

hear/buy it at iTunes: https://music.apple.com/us/artistgoodhue/260651548 or on Amazon music: https://amzn.to/320vmgC

In all honesty, and you know I love my AB, but this is the best new song I've heard today.

On one hand, I absolutely love and adore this song and video. On the other, I can't hear it without thinking of Crystal Pepsi. Goddamn you, capitalism.

I've been enjoying The Violent's "Fly On the Wall" on Octane, so I did some research and discovered Red Sun Rising. Glad I did! Nice modern grunge sound without being overproduced. The singer especially is really damn good. Wonder if they'll ever release another album, but we'll see what this new project has in store for now.

Loving The Violent's new songs!

Zaz and I actually saw Red Sun Rising open with Tremonti a few years ago and became big fans. Their second album was okay, but nothing special. Band announced they broke up a while back, so I don't think they're going to be getting back together, sadly. Push is one of my favorite screams and their singer has a wicked voice

Nice! That must have been awesome. Yeah I like their first album much more (although I can't stop watching the Deathwish music video). When I first heard Push I knew it sounded familar. Then I remembered it was in a racing game I have.

Listening to The Contes. You guys should look up Steve Conte. Interesting family relations and long musical history.
