What are you listening to right now?
Re: What are you listening to right now?
Wolfie Van Halen’s new songs. This kid is truly the chosen one, such a great talent. Looking forward to the new album whenever he drops it!

I’ve been having a hard time lately! I go to work at 2 am. So when I’m driving it’s usually dark country roads. I see a lot of things that trigger the pain of my dad dying. So It’s been really hard. What I have been listening to is Lifehouse.. Spin... it helps.

I’ve also been listening to a lot of Pandora soft 80’s! I can’t explain it. It just helps ...especially Journey! They are so beautiful! I accidentally attended a Journey tribute band last weekend. They call themselves.. Departure... the Live concert was incredible. I have video!

Journey is so great. I spun through Frontiers yesterday.

It was outside and socially distanced but it was still fun! I loved it!

One of my favorites... it’s timeless

Todd La Torre - Darkened Majesty
Holy hell, this is fucking fire!!
This is the first single off Todd's forthcoming debut solo album, Rejoice In The Suffering. Todd is the lead singer for Queensrÿche and is widely hailed as the guy who helped the band bring back their classic prog/metal 80-90's era sound. He plays drums in addition to singing on this album, and he is quite a good guitarist so he may have some guitar parts, though I believe he is not the lead player.
Can not wait to hear more of this!

Red - Innocence and Instinct (full album)
One of my all-time favorite records, just haven’t listened to it in a long time. Take It All Away is still hauntingly beautiful.

They should tour together!

Slightly belated but... five years.

Re: probably the latter
Anyone else jumping on this sea-shanty trend or am I only aware of it because I spend way too much time on Twitter?

Keep seeing references to it now and I'm very confused.

I'm listening to the audiobook version of The Stone Cold Truth. Stone Cold Steve Austin's autobiography that WWE published back in 2003 or so, told by Stone Cold Steve Austin, himself, and JR Jim Ross. Austin has been a blast to listen to and you wouldn't think he was reading off of his biography by his voice and tone. You would think you were listening to him having a casual conversation about his life story. When JR speaks, it's the opposite sadly. His tone felt sluggish, as if he was merely reading from the book, and not as exciting as the way Austin tells it, which is sad given the status his legendary commentary career in the wrestling industry. Still a great story to hear about Stone Cold Steve Austin's career though.

Survive Said The Prophet - Follow
So, I have fallen out of listening to music from the Active Rock radio format since the pandemic and in it's place, I've been listening to a lot of JPop/Jrock bands. This band was one of them and I didn't realize it, until now, that the lead singer for this band also does some vocals for Hiroyuki Sawano (another Japanese composer that I really like). I mean I heard and liked the songs they've done together. I just didn't put two and two together until now.
For this song, Follow, I think it's nothing ground-breaking if you listen to Alt Rock on the regular, but I think it hits well. I do question their choice of clothes for this video. It's like these guys got out of bed, barefooted, and said, "F it, let's just make the video here and now."
