Dream Theater is like a differential equations class where the final is a single 40 minute problem/proof. It's super cool and totally exhausting at the same time.

Now for something much different.

Aimer's Daydream album. To me, this is probably the best album of hers, because this showed a great range of songs that she can pull off. This had modern rock songs, solid ballads, some sorrowful dramatic orchestral songs, and some fun sounding pop songs and it all works well in this album.

I'm really enjoying this one so far. This is a pretty dense album to go through though. 7 songs in 70 minutes including a 20 min. song. So basically, the standard Dream Theater fare.
Would you also say that the whole thing went downhill as soon as Portnoy left?

Currently listening to Addicted To Pain. Well, not really, but it's stuck in my head. I guess that counts.

No, not really. I've enjoyed all five albums in some various extent, after Portnoy left, although I enjoyed Distance Over Time the least. I can say on first impressions that A View from the Top of the World is solid.

Mike Portnoy's departure with Dream Theater led to him joining forces with Neal Morse. I'm forever grateful for that.

It's crazy to think that there's been already five albums with Mangini (although he didn't take part in the writing of ADTOE). I actually did enjoy Distance Over Time because they didn't go over the top with this one, however the new one is a bit overwhelming and derivative. The fact that they used an 8 string guitar for the first time hasn't really brought anything new, those are the same noty riffs, just played lower

Yeah, I enjoyed some of The Similitude of a Dream but I think that Neal Morse kind of mimics a lot of those classic prog rock tricks from the 70s and it sounds slightly outdated in 2010s but I guess there are people that enjoy that.

Currently listening to Coeur D'Alene by Alter Bridge. I'm learning the solo on the guitar. I've figured out half of it so far.
Mind you, I can't solo for anything, but gotta learn eventually. :S

Nita is such a genuine person and is so talented and humble! I love her and I love her story. I also love Disturbed even more since I experienced the mosh and crowd surf at LTL! You come out bruised and changed! Awesome Experience! So those two together in any project equals perfection!

I did her body shred competitions that she does yearly. She is very involved in the group when we are all competing. If you get the opportunity to participate it’s fun! I am also doing her guitar course and loving it! She is a huge inspiration and she is Beautiful inside and Out! Also Josh on drums is amazing as well!
