Great song to Run to or Lift!

I don’t wanna Stop!

I would love to see AB cover this one for fun or Tribute! Ozzy stopped touring πŸ₯²!

THIS is what the 80's rock and metal bands should have evolved into playing. Not what Bon Jovi did.

Need I say anything about the solo other than that I didn't know it was humanly possible to play something like that?

The solo sure is amazing. I can't help but feeling the rest of the song is a bit boring though. Certainly not up to Extreme's usual interesting standards.

I've never heard anything else by Extreme other than More Than Words. I like the rest of it, except for that chorus. It's weird.

The new Kamelot album, The Awakening, is huge. Most epic sounding production in a while for them, too. It's fantastic.

Here's their most recent single:

Kamelot - Eventide

A whole bunch of different versions of Separate Ways (Worlds Apart) by Journey. The original version, live versions from different eras, and cover versions. Not sure how popular this opinion is, but after listening to all of these, I have deduced that the Daughtry cover featuring Lzzy Hale is the best version out there.

I just listened to it. I actually don't like it. It's choppy and doesn't have the same rhythm of the original, or of any of the covers.

Every preview of every Samantha Fish song there is on Itunes...i'm deciding which Album to buy next...'Wild Heart' is looking pretty good. Very bluesy. I was made aware of her work just last year thanks to 'The Hook Rocks Podcast'. BTW, i totally recommend it if you were not aware of them.

Nice! i love that exercise. There are so many great songs with greater covers. I too agree that the Daughtry/Hale rendition is awesome

Metallica's Hardwired album. Currently on ManUNkind. Some of these songs I haven't heard in years.

I think I might challenge myself this week to only listen to albums in track listing order. Just like it was in the days of vinyl records and cassette tapes (I assume). That might be interesting.

Good lord. How old does this make me feel?

It is a good way to listen to music (even if it was the only choice we had back in the day) BUT it does put pressure on an album to make sure it has considered track order and overall length properly. AB falls down on this front on a lot of albums.... as do latter-day Metallica albums.

I really do feel the 40-45 minute vinyl album format really was an ideal restriction for making a properly digestible, enjoyable a singular work in terms of an album.

Album #5: Boston's self-titled debut album. It's official. It's my favorite classic rock album of all time.

I just listened to Blackbird in its entirety for the first time. (The album, not the song, dumbass.) It's so much better listened to all at once than each individual song. My only complaint is that they shouldn't have put Blackbird, One By One, and Watch Over You all in a row. That three song run really hit me in the feels.
