Some Italian music for you guys. I'm not Italian but my girlfriend is. She was born an spent the first 20 years of her life in Rome and italians have some damn good music.

I chose the live version to underline the quality of vocals (such an underrated singer, geeez...). Not to mention the jump (geeez 2.0).

8/10 - A good song with some cool rhythm changes. It's quite compelling and made me want to listen all the way through. The playing is super tight but that's to be expected from Megadeth. Song is only held back for me by the super depressing lyrics and less than stellar production.

Gotthard from Sweden. This is off their most recent album, Firebird, and their first with their new singer after the original singer tragically died in a motorcycle accident. In terms of the voice of Steve Lee (original) versus this guy whose name escapes me... it's Nic (forget his last name), if you didn't know Lee was gone you can hardly tell the difference between their voices unless you listen really hard. They have small differences but very very similar tones. Their older stuff seemed to lean, in places, toward more old-skool Whitesnake stuff. But yeah. I love this song.

Whoa, that was good. That dude's got some good pipes, the guitar stuff was rockin', and that solo was bitchin'. Good stuff. 7.5/10

6.5 or 7... out of 10 - Not bad. I don't think I'd listen to it again and again but the five minutes flew by really. I didn't feel like listening to it was a chore... which is always a good thing. Although.. listening to something doesn't really require that much effort So, yes, one of those solid tunes that doesn't necessarily blow you away but it doesn't bore you either.

8/10 - I do like me a bit of John Mayer. Not heard anything off the new album yet (even though it's been out for some time now!) I'd like it to have a bit more grit. But it's the 'classic' mellow Mayer, nice melody. Cool.

This band, Tokyo Dragons, don't exist any more. I believe they were winners of a competition run by a music video channel known as Scuzz in the UK (and it was something like 7+ years ago now at least). This is one of the only songs I liked. They had this and another called What The Hell? and the music videos are all floating around YouTube. They made 2 albums and then disappeared off into thin air.
