I get you. I used to suffer through the screaming/growling parts to get to the singing but I've grown to really appreciate the style.

They do a bit too much of the 0-0-0-0-000-1-01111-0 style string abuse but at least it's in interesting time signatures lol.

Rainbow Gravity has a SPECTACULAR solo, along w being a fantastic song. Alpha is the stronger half for me, at the moment, but Omega seriously kicks ass. The last two songs alone are enough to justify buying this album, along with A Black Minute and Psychosphere, which are my favorites from Alpha. I can not wait to get the physical copy of this shit.

Loving Alpha. Omega is a hell of a lot harder to digest. I'm having a hard time following the title song and Hell Below but loads of Periphery's stuff needs to grow on me.

I need some time with the physical CDs. Damnit.. come on Tuesday.

Damn, glad you liked it Shea. Im gaining an appreciation for these guys shared only by AB, they are definitely my favorite band right now. Talented individuals, every single on of them.

Listen to Alpha, that 1st song... Mmmmmmm.

They upped a stream for 2 days and then took it down. You'll have to find a leak or wait for the album release. I'd steer clear of the leak I found though as it's shocking quality.

I haven't listened to Alpha since then. Don't want to ruin it.

As of now I'd probably list their discography in this order (from best-least best)
1.Juggernaut: Alpha
2.Juggernaut: Omega
3.Periphery II
4.Icarus EP
5.Clear EP
6.Periphery

And the Top 10 as this so far but i'm having a tough time with the back 3;
10.
9.
8.
7.The Bad Thing
6.22 Faces
5.Jetpacks Was Yes v2.0
4.Alpha
3.The Scourge
2.Rainbow Gravity
1.A Black Minute

Alpha is a total triumph of an album. An absolute perfect length, good flow and damn great tunes.

Definitely a good choice to separate Alpha and Omega as they are completely different beasts. This is the best progressive metal to be produced for at least a decade.

Between Fortress, Ghosts and these releases this decade is going well.

Alpha is a great record. I've heard it once so far. Gonna wait till the albums are released to give it and Omega (haven't heard Omega yet) another listen.

Listening to Omega right now. Got chills when Alpha's chorus appeared in the title track.

Omega and Stranger Things are the perfect way to end this masterpiece. Stanger Things may be my favorite Periphery song out of em all.

Listened to Alpha last night, and it's a pretty good record. I never really got into this band too much because I never really clicked with the singer (I don't mind screaming/growling, just thought his clean voice sounded kinda whiny). But I felt there were some pretty good moments vocally on this one, and the instrumental parts are obviously where the band shines. I'll try giving Omega a listen soon.

Seriously so excited for this album. It's all sounding sooo good.
