That was not normal. But I really dig the song.

Karnivool announces Aug 6 CD release date, and July 23 digital release date for North America. (Yes!Yes!Yes!)
http://kingsroadmerch.com/workhorse/
here is the website for pre-order:Well, some of you didn't believe us when we said there would be news on the release of Asymmetry in North America soon, but here it is! Our new friends at Density Records have been hard at work and we're happy to confirm that you can pre-order Asymmetry in North America. Right now! Asymmetry will be released in the U.S. on August 6, 2013 via Density Records and will be available digitally from July 23, 2013.
For those who don't know, Density Records are part of the Workhorse Records Group and the extended Vagrant Records family, and have been friends of Team Vool for a while. We hung with them at one of our LA shows a few years ago and their passion for the band and for music in general was obvious. The rule with these things is this: you always want to sign with a label whose back catalogue you want to steal! Here's hoping we are good for some freebies now...
You can pre-order the Deluxe (CD version) of Asymmetry in North America from the Workhorse Music webstore here. The pre-order includes the 90-minute live DVD 'Live at the Forum' featuring a full concert from The Forum in Melbourne, Australia.
The album will also available for pre-order from US iTunes beginning Tuesday July 2 - when you pre-order the album, the new single “We Are” will download immediately.
The Asymmetry World Tour begins in Australia in late July and moves on to Europe in October. North American tour plans will be revealed soon!
Speaking of Europe, A bunch of new European shows have been announced, and just so you know tickets are flying out of the door for everywhere so if you are planning on coming - get onto it sooner rather than later. Details of the whole tour are here
We are also really excited to be adding three more shows to the next tour in Europe with dates in Norway, Sweden & Denmark:
05 November 2013, JOHN DEE, Oslo, Norway
06 November 2013, KLUBBEN, Stockholm, Sweden
11 November 2013, PUMPEHUSET, Copenhagen, Denmark
Sydney friends if your work or home radio is tuned into Triple M and you like the idea of us infiltrating their airwaves, Triple M Sydney are asking what you think of our first single "We Are". If you feel like telling them you can do it here
And lastly, now that we have entered the internet age (i.e have a website that works nearly all of the time), we're in the process of updating our subscriber list. That means you lot! We'd really like to know what part of the world you're from, so we can keep you up to date on all the latest news specific to your country. Please click here to update your details - it only takes a second!
Over and out!

Re: The Official KARNIVOOL Thread
Anyone know where I can listen to this song except YouTube?
Re: The Official KARNIVOOL Thread
The youtube vid is embedded on their website www.karnivool.com.au. That probably doesn't help you, though - sorry.

Re: The Official KARNIVOOL Thread
Gonna get the deluxe version on Friday. Can't wait for this, easily my most anticipated album of the year.
Probably going to be the first time I've listened to a CD before hearing it online in a looooong time. I love it when albums don't leak before release date, don't have to worry about the temptation.

I preordered the Deluxe version, but it's shipping from Oz so I doubt it will arrive here by Monday, and I'm going out of town for a while starting Tuesday. I may break down and buy the digital version from iTunes, too.
The entire album is streaming online through the weekend if anyone wants to hear it.

Not as good as the last album imo. Pretty disappointed but I'll give it a few more spins.

Re: The Official KARNIVOOL Thread
This album is definitely a grower. Not really on the same level as Sound Awake by any means. Has a lot less memorable moments I guess and the production isn't as good.
Favourites at the moment are probably We Are, Aeons, The Last Few. Changing each day though.

Re: The Official KARNIVOOL Thread
The live DVD is friggin sweet. Wish it was available in blu-ray though...
Re: The Official KARNIVOOL Thread
Well, sweet! The album arrived the day before my trip, so it's on my iPhone. Listened once on the plane so far. Their music is kinda tough to digest the first few times, but it sounded promising. Reminds me of the first listens to Sound Awake.

Re: The Official KARNIVOOL Thread
On the first few listens it doesn't sound nearly as good as Sound Awake. I'll probably give it a few more spins to see if it grows on me.
