I really enjoy everything I've heard so far, A Speedy Recovery is my favourite. However, they're yet to surpass Albatross (the album) for me, nothing from Big Wreck has pulled me in like the beauty of songs such as Albatross, Wolves, Glass Room and Control. Ghosts is a good album but I think it's a very bloated album with very little to grab you, songs like A Place to Call Home (although I love the reprise), Diamonds, Still Here and possibly Hey Mama come to mind. Plus I find Break and Off and Running to sound far too similar to be so close in the tracklisting, as much as I like songs like Ghosts and My Life, I find the album to be a chore to listen to in its entirety.
Has anyone else noticed that Paulo has left the band? I assume they'll continue as a quartet?

Oh man, I didn't know Paulo left, that's unfortunate. One of my favorite things was the three guitar textures they were able to pull off.

I know. I am a bit nervous myself, but.... in clubs the BIG complex sound gets lost anyway.... in the bigger venues and theaters the 3 guitar attack can breathe... new reality.
Still works for me.... must be regional. Seek. Find. Listen..... it will be worth it!

Playing through just the first four songs this morning, I'm already hooked. I can't wait for the long drive I have later today to play the whole album at once.
