Silverside Up & The Long Road were when i was a big Nickelback fan. I used to know the drummer, Daniel when he was in 3 Doors Down; he turned into a pretty ignorant guy after All The Right Reasons dropped.. Photograph and RockStar took them and their ego's too far and now i barely listen to them at all. I used to make a point of seeing them live as much as i could up until about 2006.. I havent seen them since.

Jim, are they as big across the pond as they are here in the states. Some big bands (it took Def Leppard forever to be accepted in their home country) here in the states aren't always as accepted over there.

Well, let's see. I found this off of their tour dates siteamabob. Looks like they're big enough.

Nov 23 Echo Arena Liverpool United Kingdom

Nov 24 O2 Arena London United Kingdom

Nov 26 The Hydro Glasgow United Kingdom

Nov 27 Leeds Arena Leeds, United Kingdom

Looks like they are big enough in UK.

Edit: I also hear that Skillet might be supporting them for that tour as well.

They've been playing those kind of arenas for quite a few years now. I think they've played the o2 arena (which is the biggest arena in the country?) every time they've come over here since 2008. I think they rely on the casual listener to fill those arenas, but that's to be expected.

Manchester's Phones 4u Arena is bigger but I'm surprised that Wembley is much smaller than o2 lol.

Totally forgot about this thread...

I actually think their first couple albums are horrible: they sound amateurish and lame, I can't stand the lack of quality/ production on them.

Someday is a nice song but yeah, Photograph is embarrassing...

But it seems to me they're hated for being successful, it's Creed 2.0 to be honest - which makes it even funnier to listen to Mark's reaction during that interview in Sweden.

Funny as they opened for Creed a bit on the summer 2000 Human Clay tour.

Well done guys, you know the lyrics to a Nickelback song!

I was listening to Curb the other day, and I really like that album. The State is great too. Some of Silver Side Up is a bit shitty, but I think they started to downhill with The Long Road.

Second that.

Its surprising what Nickelback turned into. Curb and The State were pretty neat for a modern rock band. I think they just fell into the modern rock fanboy demand from their music. Can't stand most of their songs after these two albums. Never Again is another rocker, Figured You Out is good, animals is cool, I like Way Too Damn Good and Saving Me as well, but the rest of the shit is bad.

Wow, that's really cool, much more interesting than their latest work. Makes me wanna listen to their early stuff.

Yeah. Their early work (before they pigeon holed, and then plagiarized themselves) is pretty good. Leader of Men is by far my favorite song of theirs. And it's all about magic mushrooms.
