MUSE
Re: MUSE
I've just found a version of Butterflies and Hurricanes with extra guitars. Why have I only just discovered this. It's like I've only just been told you put chocolate sauce on profiteroles.
For all of the hope that it brings...

Re: MUSE
Haha, I remember finding out about that version. I love the little extra punch it gives!
There's a version of it on Spotify which I listen to very often. I was listening to Absolution a few days ago and I really missed the additional guitars during B&H. The piano interlude made up for it though

Re: MUSE
Well that is exciting for sure! I did like their experimentation with other sounds though, so no complaints from me regardless. The more Muse the better.

I haven't liked them much since Absolution. I hope they're going back to that sound. Love me some Matt Bellamy.

They've been in the studio for a few days now and there've been a lot of picture updates so far.
Love this little teasing video the most:

Here's their christmas present to the fans:

It's a pro shot of Futurism (B-side from Origin). They did this show in Japan in 2013 where they played a bunch of rare songs.. It's soo good.

Re: MUSE
There are a lot of little teasers on their instagram, but this one got me very excited. It's one of the jam riffs they've been playing for a long time at their live shows.

Matt also tweeted that they're hopefully going to release the new single this week. I really couldn't be more excited right now. I've been trying to be as suspicious as possible about this "back to the basics" concept, because you never really know with Muse, but it looks like they actually did it this time.
Edit: Here's a live version of the riff at their legendary Glastonbury show in '04:

Re: MUSE
Those track names are interesting and does give the impression that they will follow through on this album being more of heavier sounding album.
I'm excited for it.

Re: MUSE
Yea, they literally all sold out in a few minutes. Imagine seeing Muse in such an intimate venue
I agree about the names, Kev. It might be too early to say that it's a concept album, but it seems like there's a bit of a unifying theme.
I really love the artwork as well. It kinda reminds me of the one from Absolution. Definitely a huge step up from The 2nd Law.
