U2
Re: U2
i completely dislike U2 simply for the fact that I think them, hacking the icloud, and forcing their new album onto EVERYONE's phones is very unethical.
Guys, you dont believe me... check it out

Re: U2
It's still free music. A CD costs like.. €10? I guess it's pushy and if you don't like U2 I understand it's kinda annoying, but unethical? Na..
Haven't heard the album yet. Somehow I can't bring myself to it.

Re: U2
I heard it through iTunes. It sounds pretty competent enough. I can see where people would be upset that Apple just put this album onto their iTunes, phones, etc., without giving people the option to have or not have it, but hey, free music is free music and if we have the option to delete, then I don't see much of a problem with it. Granted, if Apple would pull something like this with an act that I really hate a lot, I can see people's perspective on why they hate this move.

Re: U2
Idk how it is on the iPhones, but on my iPad the album is just in my list of songs I own, but I still have to download it onto my device. So it's not taking up my device's memory unless I download it off of iCoud.
I know where you're coming from, but this is kind of like someone bringing you a CD as a gift when you don't ask for it. It's free, and it takes up space in your house, but you can always get rid of it easily.

Re: U2
The album actually appeared on music section of my iPhone, but I managed to get that out of it. I don't know if the memory of it is removed or not. Just to make sure, it's only free up until the actual CD release date?

Re: If this were Beiber though I'd be flipping tables
It's just on the cloud, it's not downloaded to your phone. Kind of irks me too that they put it in everyone's library, does seem pushy to me. Listening to it now, do like it though.AB23 wrote:they could have asked before they took up the memory on my phone. its just more annoying than anything else. they just forced their way onto it

U2's music isn't bad, but I really don't like Bono.

Re: not sure what progressive means either.
It ironically has no edge. The album is so soft. U2 really shows their age on this album and not in a good way. Some songs are okay though.zazthespaz wrote:nvm, this album progressively gets more progressive. not a fan.

Re: U2
U2, love love love them. Having said that, disappointed by SOI, I feel like they're just trying too hard. Even though Every Breaking Wave is a good song, been waiting on a studio copy of that for YEARS. Also, they shoulda released North Star on this album, one of the best U2 songs of the last 20 years. If it's not on the next album I'm contacting them directly to get my hands on it

I'm not cool with anyone breaking into my house to leave gifts of any sort.Andy92 wrote:Idk how it is on the iPhones, but on my iPad the album is just in my list of songs I own, but I still have to download it onto my device. Didn't show up on my phone, but did in my iTunes, I guess after I turned the WiFi on, but I don't have iTunes update automatically, so I'm creeped out, even if it's just the grayed out bit to download from the cloud - which I've never used.

I don't like it when strangers leave stuff on my front porch, unless it's something that I expect it to come.Andy92 wrote:It's not like breaking into your house...more like leaving it on your front porch.

Re: U2
This feel less like a coupon for a free download in the junk mail in the mailbox or free veggies on the porch and more like someone from the grocery store broke into my car and slipped a coupon in next to my grocery list and other coupons, or someone from Best Buy broke into my house and slipped a free download card for U2 in alphabetical order in my CD rack without telling me.
