You guys remember when creed came back in 09, after fees pit tickets were like 130 bucks.

Metallica has my 200. See you fellows in Atlanta.

Wish there was a Charlotte date but oh well.

I got my tickets to Chicago. I got stuck in the 126 section which they claim is limited view, but I can watch the screens. It's more towards the center I just wanted the best sound experience and I think these should be okay. Hoping they add a second date and I can snag some GA.

Had the pleasure of seeing Metallica live in Charlotte last night.
30 years too late, show was massive, really too big.... didn’t like the circle stage. James wasn’t at the front mic hardly any. Oh well. Kirk kicks ass!

If anyone wants to know how to play One with extreme accuracy, check out my tab on UG. In the official book tab and consequently most other net tabs, the rhythm parts were especially bad with both wrong strings and wrong pitches. Some sections were completely busted (such as the part after the 3rd chorus):

https://tabs.ultimate-guitar.com/tab/me ... ro-3574313

In the comments section, I break down the whole tab pointing out every little detail that was wrong in the official book and in most net tabs, so you can quickly see what to consider changing if you know the song already.

As an aside, if you want a great tab for Atlas Rise, this random guy here has a really good one for Guitar Pro 5:

http://pmtabs.net/

If you don't own a program that reads Guitar Pro files, make an account on ultimate-guitar and publish a tab and then upload GP files as "personal tabs". This way you can use their web player to view the files.

You can also use a free program called "tux guitar":

My thoughts on the new album:

"It's definitely Metallica."

Will be seeing them on the double-gig in Amsterdam later this month.
And very curious for the new album ; can be delivered to my house any day now.

First show of the tour. You guys are the only ones that have absolutely no idea what you're in for. And also the ones that will get the most live debuts of the new songs.

Long story short: run-of-the-mill, tedious, safe chugs on the low open E with a wah-wah guitar solo every now and then. Wasn't expecting anything else to be honest.

Listened to 3 or 4 songs of the new album. Seems like they rediscovered the blues pentatonic.

I like the new album a lot better than the last few albums they made.
Been a fan since the Kill em all days.
This for me is probably the album they should have made right after the Black album and continued from there………….

Unfortunately, I'm bored to tears by it. Every song is the same mid-pace with a standard rock beat and the riffs, solos and choruses just don't do it for me. Where's the ferocity?

I get what you mean, but if you think about it, you're asking for ferocity from four fellas pushing 60 :lol

Yeh. I get it. It's just too plodding for my taste. There was some interesting stuff on the last album (Spit Out the Bone, Revenge, Hardwired etc) but I can see the progression from that album to this one with some of the slower material.

I actually really like the album a lot! I think it has quite a bit of Load/Reload vibes, to some extent, so I can definitely see where some people may not enjoy this one as much as their previous 2 albums...but I've always personally loved Load and Reload.

I visited both evenings.
Great gigs.
So much better opposed to the previous Hardwired-tour.

I can't really argue that much with your top 3 from each album. They're close to what I would say.
