Instrumentally, the album is not very impressive. I mean, the guy is doing a decent job, but for years, I've heard everywhere that he was a beast of a player, and it doesn't show.
Overall, the album is decent and better than I expected, but as I initially said, he's playing it too safe.
One thing you always have to keep in mind though, this wasn't 4 people writing and recording their own parts. This was 1 guy doing so that himself. That's ALOT of work. I don't blame him for keeping some of it more simple. The melodies and songwriting were interesting and leave you satisfied. Pretty damn good for 1 guy.

That's not to mention I'm almost certain I read that he recorded alot more and cut the album down to those 15 songs. Plus there is that Japanese bonus track which I think should have made the album.

Nice! 1st album was decent, but didn't bring me back for multiple listens. Hoping having input from other musicians in the process will change that a bit. Excited to hear some recordings from Garret again!

That's a really great song for a first new single! Furthermore, I really missed Garret's drumming somehow. Great that he is back as well! So Mammoth WVH has 3 guitarists now?

Supposed the “band” is still just a live band, it’s still Wolfie on all the recordings.

And yeah Mammoth has 3 guitarists live, I’m assuming the parts on the songs involve 3 guitars as well.

Hands down one of the funniest music videos I've seen. I'm really excited for the new album. I will definitely listen to it the day it comes out, like I've done recently with my favorite bands.

Here we go! The new song is called "Like A Pastime". Sounds quite AB-ish at some points, if you ask me.

This is really good stuff so far. I guess I will buy the album in August.

Apart from Distance (really terrific song with a powerful music video), not much else from Wolfie seems to be ticking the ol' box for me. I'll keep giving his stuff a chance though - why not.

Take A Bow...wow. Great song. Sounds like Alter Bridge could have written it. I guess being in a band with Mark heavily influenced Wolfgang.

Haven't had the chance to actually listen to I'm Alright yet. I will after work. But I did skim through the video to see what it's about. Anyone else notice how they parodied some of the Alter Bridge Universe band names in the band lineup? Ultra Bridge and Slash featuring Mike something & the Contractors.

Just finished listening to the album. Maybe it's because it's so late in the night that I feel like I might fall asleep any second, but none of the songs I hadn't yet heard really impressed me. I got the same feeling when I listened to the first album. The only new song I think I really liked was Right?. I still think Another Celebration At The End Of The World is my favorite Mammoth WVH song. Take A Bow is also amazing. There were some things that threw me off, such as the double bass at the end of Optimist. But I'm not too impressed with the album overall. Maybe I'll have to give it time and listen to it again.

My favorite song is I'm Alright. I feel the same way about this album as I did the debut. Its just good rock music and nothing more

I just read that as Myles Above Me. I bet that's how some Myles fangirls would like to read it.
