Make the most eclectic and diverse compilation based on your tastes!

Don't know if anyone wants to partake in this, but we have been having a lot of downtime, so I thought what the hey? I was at a Dream Theater Forums when someone came up with this topic, so I thought why not try it here. Gives us that impression that we are not just metalheads or fans of 00s alt-metal/post-grunge.

- You have to pick just 15 songs, consider it an imaginary introduction to your tastes you come up for someone.
- You don't have to pick your very favorite songs or your very favorite artists, just any song that stands in for a band or a genre will do.
- No repeats between bands or artists.
- You don't have to enjoy the entire catalogue of the artist, but you have to LOVE the specific song. Seriously digging it just like you dig Blackbird or Cry of Achilles (with due comparisons of course), which I admit could be a tough challenge. You don't like extreme metal with harsh vocals, but there's a specific black metal song you enjoy? that works. You don't like overly commercial music but you heard Despacito on the radio and you really dig it? that works. You never really got into U2 and find them boring, but one specific song gives you chills? that works.
- Not required or mandatory, but try to pace it, starting with two-three intense extreme metal songs and having three pop ballads in a row is a bit jarring but do whatever you want with the actual tracklist, really.

Who knows, maybe this will help us to discover, if not specific artists, some cool songs here and there, as in "Mh, if this guy who I know loves this and that band the same as me likes this song of a band or artist that has an ill reputation with me, maybe I should give it a try".

Here's my list that I sent.

1. Disturbed – Indestructible (Nu-Metal)
2. Ayreon – Day Two: Isolation (Prog Metal)
3. Rise Against – Collapse (Post-Amerika) (Punk Rock)
4. Hiroyuki Sawano – Inferno (JPop from an Action Anime OST)
5. Black Stone Cherry – Devil’s Queen (Modern Southern Rock)
6. Starset – Bringing It Down (Modern Electronic Rock)
7. Zac Brown Band – Colder Weather (Country ballad)
8. The Greatest Showman Cast - The Other Side (song from a Musical Movie Soundtrack)
9. Aimer – Polaris (Soft JPop)
10. Iron Maiden – Hallowed Be Thy Name (Old-school Heavy Metal)
11. Martin Garrix & Pierce Fulton feat. Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda - Waiting For Tomorrow (EDM)
12. Alter Bridge – Blackbird (Modern Hard Rock/Alternative Metal)
13. Chris Cornell – Josephine (Acoustic Rock)
14. Rush – Natural Science (Old-school Prog Rock)
15. Trivium – In Waves (Modern Heavy Metal)

Diverse? Maybe. Eclectic? No.

I'm not going to put mine in any order (other than alphabetical by band).

Alter Bridge - Fortress (modern heavy metal)
Billie Eilish - Bad Guy (electronic music)
Bon Jovi - It's My Life (modern pop-rock)
Charm City Devils - Tear It Apart (modern alt-rock)
Go Go Torpedo - Go Go Torpedo (punk that defies all categories)
Godsmack - Under Your Scars (piano ballad)
Maxim Zubic - Reduced To Flames (What? I can't include my own song?)
Metallica - Master Of Puppets (metal at its finest)
Muse - Undisclosed Desires (keyboard-driven rock)
Phoenix - Ciocarlia (Balkan instrumental folk rock)
Pop Evil - Breathe Again (metal mixed with electronic)
Tom Petty - I Won't Back Down (classic rock)
Volbeat - Lola Montez (modern hard rock)
You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown - Snoopy (from a musical soundtrack)
YU Grupa - Nona/Kosovski božuri/Sama (progressive rock mixed with Balkan folk music mixed with blues)
La, la la la, la la la...
Now everybody's singing...
