Mark's strings

His main string gauge goes

10 13 17 28 38 54 (drop Db and Eb sometimes)

The 10, 13, 17 are from a set of D'Addario 10's, the 28 and 38 are from a set of 11's and the 54 (what he uses on his favorite guitar with the Dimebag sticker) is from a set of 12's. He also uses a 56 for the Drop Bb tuning.

Not sure about the guitar he tunes down to D standard and drop C.
I would assume he is using like 56-11 gauge strings to keep up with the tension. My best guess goes
11 14 18 30 42 56

I remember hearing in an interview that he doesn't actually use any thicker strings for his downtuned guitars. That could have changed by now, of course. But I think someone had asked about the low string in "Broken Wings", and Mark responded that he uses his regular 54-gauge string.

I only remember one interview where he said he likes 10s on the top and 11s on the bottom. He doesn't like using very thick strings when he tunes down from what I recall either.

What you side but he did say he used a thicker string when the song has that drop b, I think it was the interview where Myles called him a vagina. I believe that was from Total Guitar.

The drop B guitars are 10-13-17-28-38-56. This would be the "Support your local hell's angels" (the 2nd Tremonti model ever made) and it's sticker less back up. See it here.

Yeah, except the A string is a 42 for drop B, not a 38.
